The predictive value of preprocedural laboratory data in patients with coronary artery restenosis in various types of stents

open access: yesРоссийский кардиологический журнал, 2019
Aim. To identify the effect of preprocedural laboratory parameters on the occurrence of in-stent restenosis in various types of stents, to assess the significance of gender, age and various forms of coronary artery disease (CAD) as risk factors for ...

Dealing with in-stent restenosis [PDF]

open access: yesHeart, 1998
Stents have been shown to reduce the incidence of restenosis; however, they are not a cure. In two trials the angiographic restenosis rate was reported to be between 20% and 30% (in the Benestent II trial the unpublished quoted restenosis rate was 15%). These trials were based on stenting short, de novo lesions, in native coronary arteries.

Clinical evaluation of radioactive stents [PDF]

open access: yes, 2001
Restenosis, the major problem after stent implantation, is caused by in-stent neointimal hyperplasia. A number of metbods and techniques have been studied during the last ten years to address tbis issue, but in-stent restenosis has remained at a rate of ...

Predictors of Diffuse In-Stent Restenosis, a Retrospective Analysis in a Subset of Egyptian Population

open access: yesMajalah Kardiologi Indonesia
Background: Despite the fact that DES implantation has decreased theincidence of ISR dramatically, it is not negligible. Diffuse ISR is associated withpoor outcomes.

Clinical performance of polymer-coated paclitaxel-eluting stent implanted for diffuse and calcified superficial femoral artery stenotic lesions: Insights from a patient on hemodialysis

open access: yesSAGE Open Medical Case Reports, 2021
In recent years, various devices have been approved for peripheral artery disease with femoropopliteal lesions. However, treatment of long, calcified, and diffused lesions is still challenging because these lesions are associated with restenosis.

Diffuse In‐Stent Restenosis

open access: yesJournal of Interventional Cardiology, 2001
Stent restenosis, especially the diffuse pattern, has developed into a significant clinical and economical problem. It has been estimated that up to 250,000 patients developed in‐stent restenosis in 2,000 alone, two thirds of them can be expected to have diffuse in‐stent restenosis, which is difficult to treat because of high recurrence rates.

Emotions and scope effects in the monetary valuation of health [PDF]

open access: yes, 2018
JEL classifications: H41 H51 I11 I18 I31This study presents evidence on the role of emotions in the monetary evaluation of health technologies, namely, drug-eluting stents (DES) in our case.

Bindarit inhibits human coronary artery smooth muscle cell proliferation, migration and phenotypic switching [PDF]

open access: yes, 2012
Bindarit, a selective inhibitor of monocyte chemotactic proteins (MCPs) synthesis, reduces neointimal formation in animal models of vascular injury and recently has been shown to inhibit in-stent late loss in a placebo-controlled phase II clinical trial.

A novel ultrafast-low-dose computed tomography protocol allows concomitant coronary artery evaluation and lung cancer screening [PDF]

open access: yes, 2018
BACKGROUND:Cardiac computed tomography (CT) is often performed in patients who are at high risk for lung cancer in whom screening is currently recommended.
