Current Management of In-Stent Restenosis [PDF]

open access: yesKorean Circulation Journal, 2018
Despite the advent of the drug-eluting stents (DES) and improved stent design, in-stent restenosis (ISR) remains a challenging problem. The currently available options for treatment of ISR include angioplasty alone, repeat stenting with DES or drug-coated balloons.

Animal models of benign airway stenosis: Advances in construction techniques, evaluation systems, and perspectives

open access: yesAnimal Models and Experimental Medicine, EarlyView.
Currently, the animals commonly used to establish animal models of benign airway stenosis (BAS) include mice, rats, pigs, dogs, rabbits, and ferrets. The establishment methods involve one or a combination of two methods such as mechanical injury, tracheal cautery, cuff overpressure intubation, laser injury, and endoscopic silver nitrate cauterization ...

Comparative Effectiveness of Peripheral Angioplasty Strategies for 1-Year Restenosis in Lower Limb Artery Disease: A Retrospective Single-Center Analysis

open access: yesBiomedicines
Background: Optimal endovascular strategy for lower limb peripheral artery disease (PAD) remains debated, particularly regarding 1-year restenosis. Aim: To evaluate the association between drug-coated balloon (DCB)-based angioplasty and 1-year restenosis

Timing of silicone stent removal in patients with post-tuberculosis bronchial stenosis

open access: yesAnnals of Thoracic Medicine, 2013
Context: In patients with post-tuberculosis bronchial stenosis (PTBS), the severity of bronchial stenosis affects the restenosis rate after the silicone stent is removed.

Redox‐Responsive Mitochondrial Delivery from Functionalized Vascular Stent Surfaces

open access: yesAdvanced NanoBiomed Research, EarlyView.
A redox‐responsive stent surface is engineered to deliver functional mitochondria in response to oxidative stress. Upon exposure to reactive oxygen species, grafted mitochondria are released, internalized by vascular cells, and restore mitochondrial function under stress.
