Current Management of In-Stent Restenosis [PDF]
Despite the advent of the drug-eluting stents (DES) and improved stent design, in-stent restenosis (ISR) remains a challenging problem. The currently available options for treatment of ISR include angioplasty alone, repeat stenting with DES or drug-coated balloons.

Currently, the animals commonly used to establish animal models of benign airway stenosis (BAS) include mice, rats, pigs, dogs, rabbits, and ferrets. The establishment methods involve one or a combination of two methods such as mechanical injury, tracheal cautery, cuff overpressure intubation, laser injury, and endoscopic silver nitrate cauterization ...

Redox‐Responsive Mitochondrial Delivery from Functionalized Vascular Stent Surfaces
A redox‐responsive stent surface is engineered to deliver functional mitochondria in response to oxidative stress. Upon exposure to reactive oxygen species, grafted mitochondria are released, internalized by vascular cells, and restore mitochondrial function under stress.
