In Situ Polymerization-Mediated Antigen Presentation

Journal of the American Chemical Society, 2023
Activating antigen-presenting cells is essential to generate adaptive immunity, while the efficacy of conventional activation strategies remains unsatisfactory due to suboptimal antigen-specific priming. Here, in situ polymerization-mediated antigen presentation (IPAP) is described, in which antigen-loaded nanovaccines are spontaneously formed and ...

In situ Polymerization of Polyaniline in Wood Veneers

ACS Applied Materials & Interfaces, 2012
The present study describes the possibility to polymerize aniline within wood veneers to obtain a semi-conducting material with solid wood acting as the base template. It was determined that it is possible to synthesize the intrinsically conductive polymer (ICP) polyaniline in situ within the wood structure of Southern yellow pine veneers, combining ...

In situ polymerization on biomacromolecules for nanomedicines

Nano Research, 2018
Biopharmaceuticals, including proteins, DNAs, and RNAs, hold vast promise for the treatment of many disorders, such as cancer, diabetes, autoimmune diseases, infectious diseases, and rare diseases. The application of biopharmaceuticals, however, is limited by their poor stability, immunogenicity, suboptimal pharmacokinetic performance, undesired tissue

In Situ Polymerization on Graphene Surfaces

The Journal of Physical Chemistry C, 2013
Graphene has exceptional mechanical, electrical, and electronic properties, and these could be utilized by forming composites with polymers. This article aims to investigate the formation of chemical bonds at the graphene–polymer interface by first functionalizing the graphene and then growing polymer on the surface by in situ polymerization reaction ...

Intermacromolecular complexes by in situ polymerization

Polymer, 1988
Abstract Hydrogen-bonded complexes of poly(acrylic acid) and poly(ethyl oxazoline) (PEOx) were prepared by photopolymerization of acrylic acid in which PEOx was dissolved. The glass transition temperatures ( T g ) of the complexes are not only higher than those of the blends but also higher than the T g value of either component polymer.

In-situ polymerized polyaniline films

Synthetic Metals, 1999
Abstract Polyaniline hydrochloride was prepared by the oxidation of aniline hydrochloride with ammonium peroxodisulfate in dilute hydrochloric acid. The polyaniline films were produced during the polymerization on the glass surfaces immersed in the reaction mixture.

Polymerization of in situ generated disilenes

Journal of Organometallic Chemistry, 1996
Abstract Polymerization of in situ generated disilene as a novel method of preparation of polysilylenes was investigated. The reactions of a number of dichlorodisilanes with 3,3′,5,5′-tetramethylbiphenyl anion radical at −78°C gave the corresponding polysilylenes in moderate yields.

Preparation of conductive polypyrrole composites by in-situ polymerization

Polymer International, 1999
Two kinds of conductive polypyrrole composites were prepared by in-situ polymerization of pyrrole in a suspension of chlorinated polyethylene powder or in a natural rubber latex using ferric chloride as oxidizing agent. The preparation conditions were studied and the results showed that it is better to swell the chlorinated polyethylene powder with the

Reinforcement of polymeric latexes by in situ polymerization.

Journal of nanoscience and nanotechnology, 2009
Two silicas with different particle sizes have been synthesized by the Stöber method. The particles have been functionalized with methacryloyl groups. In situ emulsion polymerization of butyl acrylate and methyl methacrylate in the presence of functionalized silica particles was performed.
