Vestibular Patient Journey: Insights From Vestibular Disorders Association (VeDA) Registry

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective Vestibular symptoms impose a high burden of disability. Understanding real‐world diagnostic and treatment pathways can identify care gaps and guide interventions. We aimed to characterize symptom profiles, diagnostic trends, provider involvement, and treatment patterns in vestibular disorders.

Inaccuracy and Inference

open access: yesJournal of the Royal Statistical Society Series B: Statistical Methodology, 1961
SUMMARY The idea of uncertainty, as developed in communication theory, is generalized to “inaccuracy”. The applications of this inaccuracy to the problems of statistical inference are discussed.

Spatial and Volumetric Characteristics of Glioblastoma: Associations With Clinical Presentation and Survival

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective We aim to comprehensively analyze how regional tumor and edema characteristics are associated with clinical presentations and survival outcomes in a large cohort of glioblastoma patients. Methods Patients with IDH‐wildtype glioblastoma who received brain MRI from 2010 to 2023 were included.

Consistent HMM parameter estimation using Kerridge inaccuracy rates

open access: yes, 2013
In this paper, we propose a novel online hidden Markov model (HMM) parameter estimator based on Kerridge inaccuracy rate (KIR) concepts. Under mild identifiability conditions, we prove that our online KIR-based estimator is strongly consistent.

Triangular Index Ratio as an Alternative Method to the Alpha Angle for Defining the Presence of Cam Morphology: A Prospective Cohort Study

open access: yesArthritis Care &Research, EarlyView.
Objective Cam morphology, which is a significant risk factor for hip osteoarthritis, is commonly quantified by the alpha angle (AA). This study aims to explore the potential of the triangular index ratio (TIR) to quantify cam morphology on anteroposterior radiographs by assessing the association between TIR‐defined cam morphology and the development of

FlowerMate: Multidimensional reciprocity and inaccuracy indices for style‐polymorphic plant populations

open access: yesApplications in Plant Sciences
Premise Heterostyly in plants promotes pollen transfer between floral morphs, because female and male sex organs are located at roughly reciprocal heights within the flowers of each morph.
