Whole‐House Thermal Bridge Modelling for Accurate Retrofit Energy Prediction

open access: yesEnergy Science &Engineering, EarlyView.
This study models thermal bridging in a UK semi‐detached house across pre‐ and post‐retrofit scenarios using piecemeal and whole‐house approaches with EWI and IWI. Whole‐house retrofits reduce heat transfer coefficient by 60%; findings demonstrate that default values are often unrepresentative and advocate tailored Ψ value databases.

Laser neoureterocystostomy to treat ectopic ureters

open access: yesEquine Veterinary Journal, EarlyView.
Abstract Background Ureteral ectopia is an uncommon but clinically important congenital abnormality in horses. If left untreated, it can lead to persistent dermatitis, urinary tract infections, and failure to thrive. Surgical correction is necessary, but traditional approaches have produced mixed results with high morbidity.

Agreement between invasive and oscillometric blood pressure measurements during controlled haemorrhage in anaesthetised horses

open access: yesEquine Veterinary Journal, EarlyView.
Abstract Background Defining the reliability of oscillometry (NIBP) for measuring mean arterial pressure (MAP) during normotension and hypovolaemic hypotension could help with cardiovascular monitoring and management in horses anaesthetised in dorsal recumbency.

Encountering anthropologists through body‐mapping: On risk‐taking, experimentation and solidarity in the neoliberal university

open access: yesFeminist Anthropology, EarlyView.
Abstract This article turns a workshop session and the university as a locus of knowledge production into objects of ethnographic investigation. The authors reflect on our experience co‐facilitating a body‐mapping session with a group of anthropologists of different backgrounds, ages and career stages—all women—from universities across Europe, during a

A Review of Probabilistic and Novel Approaches to Cost Assessment in CCUS Projects

open access: yesGreenhouse Gases: Science and Technology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Although the renewable energy sector is making progress, there is still a long way to go before green energy can be fully utilized. In this context, Carbon Capture Utilization and Storage (CCUS) technologies can act as a temporary bridge between a high‐emission past and a low‐emission future.
