Impacts of fire on canopy structure and its resilience depend on successional stage in Amazonian secondary forests

We analyzed the effects of fire on secondary forests' vertical structure in different successional stages using lidar metrics. Our results show that independently of the successional stage, secondary forests that experienced fire were more degraded than unburned secondary forest areas.
