Chemically Fueled Systems Chemistry Across Length Scales

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Chemically fueled reaction cycles regulate processes through single and multiple catalytic sites on the molecular and assembly scale. This gives rise to unique kinetically controlled properties/functions like spatio‐temporal catalysis, oscillations, optical properties, and perform work.

Tannic Acid‐Modified Cellulose Nanofiber Reinforced Polymerizable Eutectogels for High‐Performance Stretchable Strain Sensors

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A polymerizable deep eutectic solvent is reinforced with tannic acid‐modified cellulose nanofibers to construct a hierarchical dynamic eutectogel network. Synergistic covalent and reversible interactions impart ultrahigh stretchability, high ionic conductivity, broad temperature tolerance, self‐healing, and strong adhesion, enabling robust wearable ...

Executive pay gap, corporate financialization, and stock price crash risk

open access: yesInternational Review of Economics & Finance
Based on a sample of Chinese publicly traded companies covering 2015–2024, this paper empirically explores how executive compensation disparities, corporate financialization (CF), and stock price crash risk (SPCR) are interconnected. Findings reveal that

Domain Engineering and Anisotropic Domain‐Wall Photovoltaic Effects in Ferroelectric SnS

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
The bulk photovoltaic effect at domain walls in the in‐plane ferroelectric 2D semiconductor SnS is investigated using periodic domain structures. Unlike conventional oxide ferroelectrics, domain walls of SnS do not contribute to photocurrent generation perpendicular to the domain walls.

Fullerene‐Mediated Iodine Immobilization at Buried Interfaces in Sn–Pb Perovskite Solar Cells

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Indene‐C60 bisadduct (ICBA) accumulates at the buried interface of inverted tin‐lead perovskite solar cells, limiting undesired electron extraction while maintaining efficient hole transport. ICBA simultaneously scavenges molecular iodine, mitigating Sn2+ oxidation and interfacial recombination. This coupled electronic‐chemical regulation delivers 22.7%

Cellular Responses to Mechanical Cues Across Scales: From Fundamental Insights to Translational Potential

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
This review examines how cellular behavior is regulated by mechanical cues transmitted through soft biomaterials, from single‐cell mechanosensing to tissue‐level adaptation. It highlights why physiological relevance, rather than model complexity alone, is critical for translational mechanobiology and introduces a scoring framework linking material ...

The Impact of Incentive Pay on Corporate Crime

open access: yes, 2017
This paper presents a moral hazard model analyzing the agent's incentive to commit corporate crime. The principal can only observe profits which the agent can increase by committing crime or exerting effort. It is shown how different incentive contracts, i.e., thresholdlinear, capped bonus and linear contracts, can be adjusted in order to promote ...
