Wavelength‐Dependent Differential Amplification of Raman Scattering by Chiral Gold Nanorods for Multiplexed Encoding

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
The SERS spectra of reporter molecules adsorbed on chiral gold nanorods depends on the handedness of circularly polarized light (CPL‐SERS). The bisignate plasmonic CD spectra of chiral nanorods provides wavelength‐dependent CPL‐SERS. Selective discrimination of chiral nanorod handedness and different Raman reporters allow highly sensitive codification ...

Ultraviolet–Visible Spin‐Resolved Chip‐Scale Spectroscopy

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
By harnessing phase, wavelength, and spin multiplexing, the proposed meta‐spectrometer enables spin‐resolved spectral analysis within a compact footprint. The presented dual‐band (320–450 nm) spin‐resolved meta‐spectrometer features enhance optical functionality, allowing for the simultaneous discrimination of spectral content and spin states of light ...

Strichartz estimates and global well-posedness of the cubic NLS on $\mathbb {T}^{2}$

open access: yesForum of Mathematics, Pi
The optimal $L^4$ -Strichartz estimate for the Schrödinger equation on the two-dimensional rational torus $\mathbb {T}^2$ is proved, which improves an estimate of Bourgain. A new method based on incidence geometry is used.

Double Helical Plasmonic Antennas

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Plasmonic double helical antennas funnel circularly polarized light to the nanoscale, offering strong chiroptical interaction and directional light emission. Extending a single helix design tool, this study combines numerical modeling with experimental validation, revealing large, broadband dissymmetry factors in the visible range.

Engineering Topographical Cues to Enhance Neural Regeneration in Spinal Cord Injury: Overcoming Challenges and Advancing Therapies

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Spinal cord injury (SCI) poses significant challenges for regeneration due to a series of secondary injury mechanisms. How to use biomaterial approach to target the failed regeneration after SCI remains a critical challenge. This review systematically evaluates current strategies to optimize biomaterial topographies for neurite outgrowth, axonal ...

Finite Geometries: a tool for better understanding of Euclidean Geometry

open access: yesScience & Philosophy, 2014
An effective tool to really understand Euclidean geometry is the study of alternative models and their applications. In fact, they allow you to understand the real extent of various axioms that, when viewed from the Euclidean geometry, seem obvious or ...
