The Terwilliger Algebra of the Incidence Graphs of Johnson Geometry [PDF]
In 2007, Levstein and Maldonado computed the Terwilliger algebra of the Johnson graph $J(n,m)$ when $3m\leq n$. It is well known that the halved graphs of the incidence graph $J(n,m,m+1)$ of Johnson geometry are Johnson graphs. In this paper, we determine the Terwilliger algebra of $J(n,m,m+1)$ when $3m\leq n$, give two bases of this algebra, and ...

Heterostructure‐Specific Toughening Mechanisms in Metallic Laminates
This study highlights how various aspects of the heterostructural design of metallic laminates can be specifically tailored to achieve improved fracture resistance for damage‐tolerant designs of cyclically stressed components. Based on results from in situ fatigue crack growth tests, a comprehensive overview of the formation and development of ...

An ultrathin and flexible metamaterial absorber (MA) with triple absorption peaks is presented in this paper. The proposed absorber has been designed in such a way that three absorption peaks are located at 8.5, 13.5, and 17 GHz (X and Ku bands) with ...

Direct Recycling of Cold Work Tool Steel Swarf into New Cutting Disks via Field‐Assisted Sintering
Through a sintering method known as field‐assisted sintering technology/spark plasma sintering, cold work tool steel swarf can be directly recycled into new cutting disks. This method is capable of densifying the unconventional powder morphology of swarf, and it can also seal grinding contaminants, such as Al2O3, into the steel matrix.

The flecnode polynomial: a central object in incidence geometry [PDF]
We give a brief exposition of the proof of the Cayley-Salmon theorem and its recent role in incidence geometry. Even when we don't use the properties of ruled surfaces explicitly, the regime in which we have interesting results in point-line incidence ...

Incircular nets and confocal conics
We consider congruences of straight lines in a plane with the combinatorics of the square grid, with all elementary quadrilaterals possessing an incircle. It is shown that all the vertices of such nets (we call them incircular or IC-nets) lie on confocal

Long-Term Performance of Mega-Nourishments: Role of Directional Wave Climate and Initial Geometry
Concentrated mega-nourishments, built as coastal protection measures for decadal time scales, are intended to diffuse, that is to erode and to supply sand to the nearby beaches and dunes by profiting of the natural drivers.

Unipotent representations of Lie incidence geometries [PDF]
If a geometry $ $ is isomorphic to the residue of a point $A$ of a shadow geometry of a spherical building $ $, a representation $\varepsilon_ ^A$ of $ $ can be given in the unipotent radical $U_{A^*}$ of the stabilizer in $\mathrm{Aut}( )$ of a flag $A^*$ of $ $ opposite to $A$, every element of $ $ being mapped onto a suitable subgroup of $U_ ...
