Oxygen Vacancy‐Mediated Bi─O Unsaturation Coordination in BiOCl for Efficient Photocatalytic Water Purification

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
The incorporation of oxygen vacancies (OVs) presents a viable strategy for fine‐tuning the photocatalytic prowess of BiOCl. A reliable hydrogen annealing reduction technique is employed to precisely design OVs, thereby optimizing the light absorption capacity, as well as the efficiency of carrier migration and separation in BiOCl.

Mechanical Flexibility Enables DNA Origami to Overcome Steric Confinement in Mucus

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Mechanical flexibility is introduced as a design parameter to enhance nanocarrier transport in mucus. Using DNA origami, flexibility is decoupled from size, shap and surface chemistry, revealing improved passage through confined hydrogel networks. While surface passivation reduces aggregation, flexibility further boosts transport, offering a general ...

Origami Metamaterials Based on Low‐Melting‐Point Alloy Phase Transition: Breaking the Trade‐Off Between Reusability and Energy Absorption Quality

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This work presents an origami metamaterial that integrates a low‐melting‐point alloy skeleton into an elastomeric shell. It dissipates energy through the metal's plastic deformation and recovers through the solid–liquid phase transition of the alloy together with the hyperelasticity of the shell.

The Relationship of Cup Inclination and Anteversion in the Coronal Plane with Ante-Inclination in the Sagittal Plane

open access: yesJBJS Open Access
Background:. This study aimed to establish an equation for calculating cup ante-inclination (AI) from radiographic cup inclination and anteversion, to validate this equation in a total hip arthroplasty (THA) cohort, and to test whether achieving previously described radiographic cup inclination and anteversion targets would also satisfy sagittal cup AI

Controllable Ge Hut Wires With Mobilities Exceeding 20 000 cm2 V−1 s−1

open access: yesAdvanced Electronic Materials, EarlyView.
The controlled growth of germanium hut wires on patterned SiGe/Si(001) substrates is reported. These self‐assembled nanowires achieve a record hole mobility of 22 900 cm2 V−1 s−1 at 4.2 K. Remarkably, conductance quantization is observed at a channel length of 1.9 µm, highlighting their exceptionally low disorder and paving the way for scalable, high ...
