Hourly solar radiation on inclined surfaces
Sustainable Energy Technologies and Assessments, 2014Abstract The present study investigates the variation of hourly global solar radiation for inclined surfaces. We have measured the data for horizontal surface and different south-facing (γ = 0°) inclined surfaces at Lucknow (Latitude 26.75°, Longitude 80.85°), Uttar Pradesh, India.

Measuring UV radiation on inclined surfaces
SPIE Proceedings, 2003In general measurements of UV-radiation are related to horizontal surfaces, as e.g. also done for the internationally standardized and applied UV-index. In order to get more information on biologically relevant UV-exposure, there is a need for quantitative data of radiation fluxes on tilted surfaces.

Double Droplets Impact an Inclined Superhydrophobic Surface
LangmuirThe rebound dynamics of double droplets impacting an inclined superhydrophobic surface decorated with macro-ridges are investigated via lattice Boltzmann method (LBM) simulations. Four rebound regions are identified, that is, the no-coalescence-rebound (NCR), the partial-coalescence-rebound of the middle part bounces first (PCR-M), and the side part ...

Solar Radiation to Nonobstructed Inclined Surfaces
1997Researchers and students in physical climatology are interested in radiative, sensible heat, and latent heat exchanges between the atmosphere and the Earth and how to use models to compute these energy exchanges in natural and agricultural systems.

Surface soliton dynamics over inclined bottom
Bulletin of the Lebedev Physics Institute, 2015The soliton evolution on the water surface in the case of an inclined bottom is considered within the shallow water approximation. The Riemann function method is used to obtain the linear solution. It is shown that the 2nd-, 3rd-, and 4th-order nonlinear corrections are expressed in terms of the derivatives of the function defining the linear solution.

Motion Along a Rough Inclined Surface
2000Somebody has remarked in connection with the development of quantum field theory that in classical mechanics, the three-body problem is too difficult. With the advent of quantum mechanics, the two-body problem has become too difficult, while quantum field theory has made the zero-body problem too difficult.
