Sustainable business models for inclusive growth: Towards a conceptual foundation of inclusive business

open access: yesJournal of Cleaner Production, 2020
Abstract The Post-2015 Development Agenda from which the Sustainable Development Goals emerged envisions an expanded role of the private sector. Businesses are consequently challenged to become more inclusive of low-income groups. How the business community can achieve this is however insufficiently clear. This partly stems from weak and inconsistent

A Tri‐Culture Heart‐on‐a‐Chip Platform With iPSC‐Derived Cardiac Cells for Predictive Cardiotoxicity Testing

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
This study presents the first entirely isogenic heart‐on‐chip, unifying cardiomyocytes, fibroblasts, and endothelial cells from a single iPSC source. The platform reveals a critical biological insight: the endothelium actively shields cardiac tissue from drug‐induced toxicity, challenging the predictive accuracy of conventional, avascular models for ...

Role of Liquid Composition in the Transient Liquid Assisted Growth of Superconducting YBa2Cu3O7‐δ Films

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
The Y supersaturation in the [Ba‐Cu(I/II)‐O] transient liquid composition is the driving force toward YBCO nucleation and growth in TLAG. Tuning the initial (Ba:Cu) molar ratio in the ink composition determines the YBCO epitaxial nucleation through supersaturation control.

Polyimide‐Linked Hexaazatriphenylene‐Based Porous Organic Polymer with Multiple Redox‐Active Sites as a High‐Capacity Organic Cathode for Lithium‐Ion Batteries

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
A high‐capacity polyimide‐linked porous organic polymer (HAT‐PTO) incorporating numerous redox‐active centers is synthesized via a hydrothermal reaction, delivering a high theoretical capacity of 484 mAh g−1. In situ hybridization with carboxyl‐functionalized multiwalled carbon nanotubes enhances conductivity and stability, achieving 397 mAh g−1 at C ...

Business Models for Inclusiveness

open access: yesProcedia - Social and Behavioral Sciences, 2014
AbstractBusinesses have traditionally contributed to inclusive growth primarily through philanthropy or CSR. However, these initiatives have a modest societal impact when compared to the impact of core business operations on society. So businesses now have to integrate the social responsibility in their core business operations. Business should address
