Reasoning with incomplete and changing information: The CIN Project

open access: yes, 1997
Most information systems are faced with incomplete information, even for simple database applications; therefore, they must make plausible conjectures in order to operate in a satisfactory way.

CD47 promotes mitogen‐activated protein kinase and epithelial‐to‐mesenchymal transition molecular programs to drive prometastatic phenotypes in non‐small cell lung cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Beyond its role in immune evasion, this study identified that CD47 drives tumor‐intrinsic signaling in non‐small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). Transcriptomic profiling and functional studies revealed that CD47 regulates cell adhesion, migration, and metastasis through an ERK–EMT signaling axis.

Epigenetic heterogeneity and plasticity in therapy‐induced tumor states through single‐cell multi‐omics

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Single‐cell multi‐omics reveals epigenetic heterogeneity across therapy‐adaptive tumor states, including quiescent/dormant, drug‐tolerant persister, and EMT‐like phenotypes. By linking regulatory features with state‐associated biomarkers, these approaches inform biomarker‐guided therapeutic strategies for evolving tumors.

Using or Hiding Private Information ? An Experimental Study of Zero-Sum Repeated Games with Incomplete Information [PDF]

open access: yes
This paper studies experimentally the value of private information in strictly competitive interactions with asymmetric information. We implement in the laboratory three examples from the class of zero-sum repeated games with incomplete information on ...

From tumor‐centric to ecosystem‐based hypotheses in brain tumor research and care

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Primary brain tumors, whether in adults or children, present a major challenge because of their dramatic prognosis and the ongoing lack of efficient therapeutic approaches. In recent years, a shift has occurred from tumor‐centric concepts to a more holistic view of these tumors as dynamic ecosystems.

Measures of Uncertainty for an Incomplete Set-Valued Information System With the Optimal Selection of Subsystems: Gaussian Kernel Method

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2020
A set-valued information system (SVIS) with missing values is known as an incomplete set-valued information system (ISVIS). This article focuses on studying uncertainty measurement for an ISVIS and the optimal selection of subsystems by means of Gaussian

The evolution of conventions under incomplete information

open access: yes, 2005
We formulate an evolutionary learning process with trembles for static games of incomplete information. For many games, if the amount of trembling is small, play will be in accordance with the games’ (strict) Bayesian equilibria most of the time.

Preoperative circulating tumor cells integrated with imaging analysis for prognostic evaluation in head and neck squamous cell carcinoma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Detecting circulating tumor cells (CTCs) in blood before surgery may help predict outcomes in patients with head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSCC). Here, we show when combined with tumor size and lymph node involvement from routine imaging, CTC status identifies high‐risk patients with poorer survival—offering a simple, minimally invasive tool ...

Endogenous differential information in financial markets [PDF]

open access: yes
We develop a two period general equilibrium model with incomplete financial markets and differential information. Making endogenous the traditional informational restriction on consumption, we allow agents to obtain information from physical and ...
