Measurement of Incompleteness and Indecisiveness of a Preference Relation

In a deterministic setting, we examine the problem of ordering decision-makers exhibiting incomplete preferences. We provide an axiomatic characterization of three novel metrics: a decisiveness metric, an incompleteness metric, and a third metric that captures aspects of both indecisiveness and incompleteness.

Estimating Missing Values in Incomplete Additive Fuzzy Preference Relations

2007
In some occasions, decision makers may have to deal with the problems in which only partial information is available. As a result, decision makers embody their preferences as incomplete fuzzy preference relations. In this paper, we propose an iterative procedure to estimate the missing values of the incomplete fuzzy preference relations that are ...

On group decision making with four formats of incomplete preference relations

Computers & Industrial Engineering, 2011
In this paper, a new approach is proposed to solve group decision making (GDM) problems where the preference information on alternatives provided by decision makers (DMs) is represented in four formats of incomplete preference relations, i.e., incomplete multiplicative preference relations, incomplete fuzzy preference relations, incomplete additive ...

Application of incomplete linguistic preference relations in predicting the success of ERP implementation

2009 IEEE International Conference on Fuzzy Systems, 2009
This study applies an analytic hierarchical prediction model based on Multi-Criteria Decision Making with Incomplete Linguistic Preference Relations(InLinPreRa) to help the organizations become aware of the essential factors affecting the Enterprise Resource Planning(ERP), as well as identify the actions necessary before implementing ERP.

Solving multi-criteria decision making with incomplete linguistic preference relations

Expert Systems with Applications, 2011
When there are n criteria or alternatives in a decision matrix, a pairwise comparison methodology of analytic hierarchy process (AHP) with the time of n(n-1)/2 is frequently used to select, evaluate or rank the neighboring alternatives. But while the number of criteria or comparison level increase, the efficiency and consistency of a decision matrix ...
