Hybrid element method for incompressible and nearly incompressible materials

International Journal of Solids and Structures, 1989
Abstract A new hybrid element method suitable for problems with different Poisson's ratios, including incompressible and nearly incompressible materials is proposed. This hybrid model does not exhibit any locking phenomenon for nearly incompressible materials and is capable of producing correct displacement and stress solutions in the case of uniform

Incompressible surfaces

1993
Abstract Let M be a compact, piecewise linear 3-manifold, possibly with boundary, and let S⊂ M be a compact, p.l. surface, properly embedded in M. As always, we will assume that a piecewise linear structure underlies the whole discussion.
