Graphene-strengthened Inconel 625 Alloy Fabricated by Selective Laser Melting
Materials Science & Engineering A: Structural Materials: Properties, Microstructure and Processing, 2020Abstract Graphene has been widely used as a reinforcement phase in composites due to its excellent electrical, thermal and mechanical properties. In this study, graphene was modified by electroless nickel plating to obtain nickel-coated graphene (Ni-Gr), which was then introduced into spherical Inconel 625 powder by ball milling.

Assessments and comparison of Inconel 625 and Inconel 718 alloys from overcut in micro ECM
Materials Today: Proceedings, 2021Abstract Traditional drilling is still not appropriate for working with Inconel625 and Inconel718 alloys, since such metals become hard to remove substances. The aim of this article is really to evaluate the two separate metals from empirical data of the micro electrochemical machining (μ-ECM) process on overcut.

Hot Deformation Behavior and Mechanism of Alloy Inconel 625
Materials Science Forum, 2010The hot deformation behavior and microstructure of rolled Inconel 625 alloy have been studied from 930°C to 1180°C, and at strain rate from 10 s-1 to 80 s-1, respectively. The results indicate that, as deformation temperature rises, both peak flow stress (PFS) and recrystallization critical strain (RCS) decrease; as the strain rate increases, the PFS ...

Effect of Glass Lubricant on the Hot Extrusion of Inconel 625 Alloy
Transactions of the Indian Institute of Metals, 2020A combination of numerical simulations and experiments was used to study the influence of glass lubricant on the hot extrusion of Inconel 625 alloy. The results showed that the glass lubricant left a large amount of abrasive debris and furrows on alloy surface, which produced different friction states.

THE STRUCTURE AND COEFFICIENT OF FRICTION OF WELDED NICKEL ALLOYS INCONEL 625 AND INCONEL 718
Tribologia, 2018In this study, the coefficients of friction for three series of welded nickel alloy joints, subjected to different heat treatments (lack of heat treatment, solution heat treatment, precipitation hardening), were determined. Heat treatment of the prepared samples was aimed at eliminating the structural and stress gradient, because the electron beam ...

Mechanism of Hot Cracking Welds of Nickel Alloy Inconel 625
Solid State Phenomena, 2016Generally, nickel superalloy Inconel 625 is good weldability. However, it should be kept in mind his tendency to hot cracking during welding. Gamma matrix is strengthening by the alloying elements chromium, titanium, niobium. These elements favour the formation of carbides and intermetallic compounds that may cause embrittlement and hot cracking in a ...

CMT-based wire arc additive manufacturing of Inconel 625 alloy
Emerging Materials Research, 2023Cold metal transfer (CMT) technology is considered in an application for wire arc additive manufacturing (WAAM) of refractory highly corrosion-resistant Inconel 625 alloy. Based on the fabricated wall, the suitability of CMT–WAAM for the sound formation of welds and homogeneous distribution of mechanical properties is shown.

Fretting Wear Properties of Thermally Deformed Inconel 625 Alloy
Transactions of the Indian Institute of Metals, 2020The effect of microstructure on fretting wear behavior of Inconel 625 alloy was studied after different thermal deformation conditions (strain rate and temperature). The results show that grain size and microhardness have a significant influence on the fretting wear.
