Electrospark‐Deposited AlCrFeCoNi High‐Entropy Alloy Coatings on Steel: Microstructure Evolution, Mechanical Properties, and Corrosion Response

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, Volume 28, Issue 1, January 2026.
AlCrFeCoNi high entropy alloy coating is applied on steel using electrospark deposition. The microstructure evolution and phase transformation of the as‐deposited and heat‐treated coatings is characterized and discussed. Reduced microhardness and yield strength are measured after heat treatment.

Electron Beam Welding of Inconel 718

open access: yesProcedia Manufacturing, 2020
Abstract This paper presents a study of Electron Beam Welding (EBW) of rolled Inconel 718 (IN718) plates. The experiment utilized nine different heat inputs at three different levels of welding speed and beam current. The weld quality was characterized and ranked based on weld geometry, microhardness and mechanical properties.

Oxidation Performance of NiCoCrAlYTa + 7YSZ Coatings With Ta Addition at Different Temperatures

open access: yesRare Metals, Volume 45, Issue 1, January 2026.
ABSTRACT This study investigates the morphology and oxidation behavior of thermally grown oxides (TGO) formed at the interface of NiCoCrAlYTa + 7YSZ (7 wt% Y2O3‐stabilized zirconia) coatings deposited by air plasma spray (APS) in air environments at 1050°C, 1100°C, and 1150°C. The enrichment of Ta‐rich oxides beneath the TGO, along with the segregation
