Innovative Bipolar Plates Design for Increasing Fuel Cell Efficiency

2011
Proton Exchange Membrane Fuel Cells (PEMFC’s) are a promising technology in the field of clean energy. Bipolar plates are the main components of the PEMFC as they contribute to about 80% of their weight and affect their performance significantly. This study shows the effect of varying the cross sectional area of the flow channel in the bipolar plates ...

INCREASING THE EFFICIENCY OF FUEL-FIRED PLANTS WITH DUSTY WASTE GASES

Energy and automation
The results of a set of thermal calculations of the air-heating heat exchanger of the dusty waste gases of the thermal disposal of household waste are given. The initial data for the calculations were taken in the practical range when incinerating 1t/h of household waste from the experience of using the specified installations.

Increased Automobile Fuel Efficiency and Synthetic Fuels: Alternatives for Reducing Oil Imports

1982
This report assesses and compares increased automobile fuel efficiency and synthetic fuels production with respect to their potential to reduce conventional oil consumption, and their costs and impacts. Conservation and fuel switching as a means of reducing stationary oil uses are also considered, but in considerably less detail, in order to enable ...
