Incremental Kinematic Analysis of Mechanisms

Journal of Mechanical Design, 1995
Kinematic design is an important aspect of the design of mechanical systems with moving parts. The performance of such systems may suffer from the presence of parts that bind during their motion causing jams, or that execute undesired motions. Kinematic analysis needs to be conducted and the design of the system modified.

Error Analysis of Pressure Increment Schemes

SIAM Journal on Numerical Analysis, 2000
The author proves that for time-periodic calculations the pressure increment scheme generates second-order accurate computed velocities. The computed pressure has a boundary layer of thickness of \(O(k)\) with smooth error beginning from the thickness of \(O(k^2)\).

Partial analysis increments

On Incremental Analysis in Resource Allocations

Operational Research Quarterly (1970-1977), 1976
This paper discusses the use of incremental analysis for solving a generalized version of the one constraint resource allocation problem considered by Shih. It also provides a proof of the optimality of his solution procedure.

Incremental Generalized Canonical Correlation Analysis

2016
Generalized canonical correlation analysis (GCANO) is a versatile technique that allows the joint analysis of several sets of data matrices through data reduction. The method embraces a number of representative techniques of multivariate data analysis as special cases.

Incremental Sampling in Artifact Analysis

Journal of Field Archaeology, 1987
AbstractMaterial remains recovered from archaeological excavations are often sent to a number of specialists for analysis. A procedure is introduced that serves as an aid in assuring sampling consistency across all specialist analyses. This procedure also allows researchers to incorporate both randomly and judgmentally selected sampling units in some ...

Incremental Static Semantic Analysis

1997
Language-based programming environments provide some or all of the functionality of a compiler, an interactive debugger, a browser, and a configuration manager behind a unified user interface based on an editing paradigm. As the user edits a program, the changes are processed incrementally, allowing for low-latency updates to derived information.

Applications in Incremental Dynamic Analysis

Structures Congress 2005, 2005
Three Virginia Tech research projects that made extensive use of Incremental Dynamic Analysis (IDA) are described in this paper. Special IDA features that have been incorporated into the NONLIN computer program are also described.
