Frontiers in the Management of Orthopaedic Periprosthetic Joint Infection

open access: yesJournal of Orthopaedic Research, Volume 44, Issue 2, February 2026.
ABSTRACT Periprosthetic joint infection (PJI) is a devastating complication of total joint arthroplasty (TJA), one of the most frequently performed surgical procedures worldwide. Management of acute PJI commonly involves debridement, antibiotics, and implant retention (DAIR), though failure rates remain high due to antibiotic‐tolerant biofilms. Chronic

Positive solutions for elliptic problems with critical indefinite nonlinearity in bounded domains

open access: yesElectronic Journal of Differential Equations, 2007
In this paper, we study the semilinear elliptic problem with critical nonlinearity and an indefinite weight function, namely $$ - Delta u =lambda u + h (x) u^{(n+2)/(n-2)} $$ in a smooth open bounded domain $Omegasubseteq mathbb{R}^n$, $n > 4 $ with ...

Multi‐Objective Robust Controller Synthesis With Integral Quadratic Constraints in Discrete‐Time

open access: yesInternational Journal of Robust and Nonlinear Control, Volume 36, Issue 3, Page 935-954, February 2026.
ABSTRACT This article presents a novel framework for the robust controller synthesis problem in discrete‐time systems using dynamic Integral Quadratic Constraints (IQCs). We present an algorithm to minimize closed‐loop performance measures such as the ℋ∞$$ {\mathscr{H}}_{\infty } $$‐norm, the energy‐to‐peak gain, the peak‐to‐peak gain, or a ...

The Secretome of Human Trophoblast Stem Cells Attenuates Senescence‐Associated Traits

open access: yesAging Cell, Volume 25, Issue 2, February 2026.
Human trophoblast stem cell‐derived secretome/conditioned medium (hTSC‐CM) and the extracellular vesicles (EVs) therein suppress DNA damage and NF‐κB activation in senescent fibroblasts, in turn reducing the production of senescence‐associated secretory phenotype (SASP) factors. This study highlights hTSC‐CM and EVs as potential senotherapeutic agents.

Sociodemographic and occupational risk factors for premenstrual mood disorders among female workers

open access: yesActa Obstetricia et Gynecologica Scandinavica, Volume 105, Issue 2, Page 238-246, February 2026.
Premenstrual mood disorders (PMDs) were reported by 44.2% of Japanese working women aged 20–44 years. Job‐related factors increased the risk. As PMDs and occupational conditions may interact bidirectionally, longitudinal research is essential to clarify whether workplace improvements reduce PMDs and whether treatment enhances women's work ability ...

Prevalence of Opioid Use and Associated Healthcare Outcomes in Rome IV Irritable Bowel Syndrome in the United Kingdom

open access: yesAlimentary Pharmacology &Therapeutics, Volume 63, Issue 4, Page 557-568, February 2026.
One in five people with Rome IV irritable bowel syndrome use opioids on a regular basis. Compared with non‐users, opioid users had worse quality of life, greater psychological impairment, and higher direct healthcare costs. ABSTRACT Background The United Kingdom (UK) has one of the highest worldwide opioid prescription rates per capita.
