Annealing‐Induced Plasticity and Strengthening in Metallic Glasses
This work challenges the dogma that annealing inevitably embrittles metallic glasses. We demonstrate that sub‐Tg annealing, guided by positive mixing enthalpy and constrained kinetics, can drive a self‐organized compositional fluctuation that creates an interface‐free heterogeneous structure.

A self‐reinforcement strategy is reported for the fabrication of bamboo plastics utilizing ethanol to induce the supramolecular network reconstruction of cellulose and polyacrylamide molecules. These bamboo plastics exhibit high mechanical strength, excellent thermal stability, resistance to low temperatures, and controllable shapeability.

A molecular‐bridging heterogeneous interface engineering strategy is introduced to combine a polyhedral oligomeric silsesquioxane (POSS)‐based hard coating with a colorless polyimide (CPI)‐based flexible layer. The robust heterogeneous interface endows the integrated system with the superior properties of both layers and their synergistic ...

The role of adhesion in contact mechanics
Adhesive [e.g. van der Waals] forces were not generally taken into account in contact mechanics until 1971, when Johnson, Kendall and Roberts (JKR) generalized Hertz' solution for an elastic sphere using an energetic argument which we now recognize to be

This study introduces an in situ electrostatic charge‐assisted wetting method to enhance the interfacial strength of aerosol jet printing. By depositing negative charges on the substrate, the technique improves ink wetting and interfacial properties, achieving up to 85.6% higher interfacial shear strength.

Intrinsic Mechanical Parameters and their Characterization in Solid‐State Lithium Batteries
This review focuses on the intrinsic mechanical parameters and their associated characterization in solid‐state batteries. The physical significance of mechanics parameters is introduced with exhaustive classifications by elastic, plastic deformations and fracture in bulk, adhesion, friction at interfaces, and mechanical fatigue in cells ...

Unraveling Failure Mechanism of Indium Anodes in all‐Solid‐State Batteries
In anode has been widely used in labs due to its stability. However, it still suffers failure at high current density and areal capacity. This work demonstrates the failure mechanism of In anode and propose protective layer by atomic layer deposition could effectively enhance the performance.
