A novel selective stabilizer of the ryanodine receptor 2 prevents stress‐induced ventricular arrhythmias without impairing cardiac function

open access: yesBritish Journal of Pharmacology, EarlyView.
Abstract Background and Purpose Aberrant activation of type 2 ryanodine receptors (RyR2) causes lethal arrhythmias, such as catecholaminergic polymorphic ventricular tachycardia (CPVT). Developing drugs that suppress RyR2 hyperactivation may be key to novel arrhythmia treatments.

Identifying the exposure of taxonomic, functional, and phylogenetic diversity of steppe birds to renewable energy development

open access: yesConservation Biology, EarlyView.
Abstract Biodiversity is globally threatened by human impacts, including land‐use transformation and climate change, which has prompted a rapid transition from fossil fuels to cleaner energy sources, such as photovoltaic (PV) energy. However, utility‐scale PV plants require vast areas and can lead to conflicts with biodiversity conservation, making ...

The Children's Eating and Drinking Activity Scale: Interrater reliability, concurrent validity, and responsiveness

open access: yesDevelopmental Medicine &Child Neurology, EarlyView.
This paper evaluated the interrater reliability, concurrent validity and responsiveness of the Children's Eating and Drinking Activity Scale ‐ a measure of functional outcome for children with paediatric feeding disorder. Abstract Aim To assess the interrater reliability, concurrent validity, and responsiveness of the Children's Eating and Drinking ...

How do collective identities influence sector‐wide digital transformations? Insights from the European cooperative sector

open access: yesEuropean Management Review, EarlyView.
Abstract This paper applies the multilevel perspective (MLP) theory to investigate how collective identities influence sector‐wide digital transformations, focusing on the cooperative sector in Europe. By employing a wide mix of primary and secondary data from platform and incumbent cooperatives, our analysis showed that collective identities ...

Testing for Contagion in International Financial Markets: To See More, Go Higher

open access: yesFinancial Review, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Traditional measures of financial contagion rely on correlation shifts, overlooking higher moments such as skewness and kurtosis. We examine contagion during two major financial crises, incorporating lower‐ and higher‐moment measures. We analyze stock market returns from 22 major markets at different frequencies, offering a global perspective ...

Auditability in the Digital Age

open access: yesInternational Journal of Auditing, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT In this Perspective essay, I offer some provocations about the future of auditing. I suggest that auditing is currently undergoing technological change in its practice unlike any other in its history in which notions of evidence and auditability have become fluid.

Attenuated selective attention during visual perspective taking in autism: A combined behavior, ERP, and pupillometry study

open access: yesJournal of Child Psychology and Psychiatry, EarlyView.
Background Altered social cognition in autism may be influenced by difficulties in domain‐general functions, such as selective attention. Here, we manipulated the requirement for selective attention during a visual perspective taking (VPT) task and used neurophysiological indices to delineate underlying mechanisms.

Association of low‐grade albuminuria and triple‐line pattern as markers of early peripheral vascular remodeling in adolescents with type 1 diabetes

open access: yesJournal of Diabetes Investigation, EarlyView.
In adolescents with type 1 diabetes, the arterial triple‐line pattern (TLP) signals early lower extremity vascular remodeling. Low‐grade albuminuria (UACR ≥15 mg/g) independently predicts TLP, supporting the combined use of these markers to identify subclinical atherosclerosis.
