Optimal Error Correcting Index Codes for Extended Index Coding Problems
2019 19th International Symposium on Communications and Information Technologies (ISCIT), 2019The classical single-sender index coding problem (ICP) with error correction consists of a set of receivers, each receiving some transmissions erroneously. Each receiver demands a single message and has a subset of other messages as side information. The sender transmits an error correcting index code (ECIC) availing the knowledge of side information ...

Detection of code index in turbo source coding
GLOBECOM '05. IEEE Global Telecommunications Conference, 2005., 2005Lossless turbo source coding with decremental redundancy is an effective approach for compressing binary sources. In this method, the message is encoded using a turbo code. Then the parities are heavily punctured using an iterative process and all non-punctured parities along with side information are sent to the decoder.

On the Wireless network coding with overhearing and index coding
2013 IEEE 18th International Workshop on Computer Aided Modeling and Design of Communication Links and Networks (CAMAD), 2013We study the problem of Wireless Network Coding with imperfect overhearing, a joint coding/scheduling problem that arises naturally in multihop wireless networks. We map this problem to specific instances of index coding. In this direction, we propose an approach that decouples the problem of scheduling and coding, and ultimately results in comparison ...

Three-Layer Composite Coding for Index Coding
2018 IEEE Information Theory Workshop (ITW), 2018We extend the composite coding (CC) scheme for the index coding problem from two layers to more layers of random binning. We explicitly introduce the three-layer composite coding (TLCC) scheme and provide the achievable rate region and the error analysis for it.

Index Code Design for Index Coded‐NOMA Transmission in VANETs
Transactions on Emerging Telecommunications TechnologiesABSTRACTData distribution in vehicular ad hoc networks (VANETs) is delay sensitive in nature. Therefore, the development of efficient schemes to serve the demands of users with fewer transmissions is beneficial. Index coded NOMA (IC‐NOMA) can provide improved spectral and power efficiency in VANETs.
