3D dual-mode OFDM-IM modulation with multi-envelope approach and performance analysis

open access: yesTongxin xuebao
To address the issues of high bit error rate and limited anti-interference capability in current high-dimensional OFDM index modulation systems, a dual-mode orthogonal frequency division multiplexing index modulation scheme based on multi-envelope three ...

Network divergence analysis identifies adaptive gene modules and two orthogonal vulnerability axes in pancreatic cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Tumors contain diverse cellular states whose behavior is shaped by context‐dependent gene coordination. By comparing gene–gene relationships across biological contexts, we identify adaptive transcriptional modules that reorganize into distinct vulnerability axes.

Spatial modulation orthogonal frequency division multiplexing with subcarrier index modulation for V2X communications

open access: yes, 2016
Spatial modulation orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (SM-OFDM) is a novel OFDM technique which conveys additional information by active antenna indices of subcarriers, and thus achieves enhanced data rate and robustness against inter-antenna ...

COMP–PMEPA1 axis promotes epithelial‐to‐mesenchymal transition in breast cancer cells

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This study reveals that cartilage oligomeric matrix protein (COMP) promotes epithelial‐to‐mesenchymal transition (EMT) in breast cancer. We identify PMEPA1 (protein TMEPAI) as a novel COMP‐binding partner that mediates EMT via binding to the TSP domains of COMP, establishing the COMP–PMEPA1 axis as a key EMT driver in breast cancer.

EDNRB‐dependent endothelin signaling reduces proliferation and promotes proneural‐to‐mesenchymal transition in gliomas

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Glioma cells mainly express the endothelin receptor EDNRB, while EDNRA is restricted to a perivascular tumor subpopulation. Endothelin signaling reduces glioma cell proliferation while promoting migration and a proneural‐to‐mesenchymal transition associated with poor prognosis. This pathway activates Ca2+, K+, ERK, and STAT3 signalings and is regulated

Engineered extracellular vesicles enriched with the miR‐214/199a cluster enhance the efficacy of chemotherapy in ovarian cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Loss of the miR‐214/199a cluster is associated with recurrence in ovarian cancer. Engineered small extracellular vesicles (m214‐sEVs) elevate miR‐214‐3p/miR‐199a‐5p in tumor cells, suppress β‐catenin, TLR4, and YKT6 signaling, reprogram tumor‐derived sEV cargo, reduce chemoresistance and migration, and enhance carboplatin efficacy and survival in ...

Linear precoded index modulation

open access: yes
Index modulation (IM) is an attractive concept for next generation communication systems. However, as an emerging technique, there are still some challenges need to be tackled in this frontier.

An Optimized Index Modulation for Filter Bank Multicarrier (FBMC) System

open access: yes, 2019
Orthogonal frequency division multiplexing with index modulation (OFDM-IM) has attracted considerable interest recently. The technique uses the subcarrier indices as a source of information. In FBMC system, doubledispersive channels lead to inter-carrier

IMPDH inhibition enhances cytarabine efficacy in SAMHD1‐expressing leukaemia cells via guanine nucleotide depletion

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Cytarabine is a key therapy for acute myeloid leukaemia (AML), but its efficacy is limited by the dNTPase SAMHD1, which hydrolyses its active metabolite. Screening nucleotide biosynthesis inhibitors revealed that IMPDH inhibitors selectively sensitise SAMHD1‐proficient AML cells to cytarabine.

Investigation on orthogonal frequency division multiplexing with index modulation

open access: yes, 2016
This thesis is devoted to investigating orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) with index modulation (OFDM-IM) to improve its bit error rate (BER) performance and spectral efficiency.
