Targeting signaling pathways in neurodegenerative diseases: Quercetin's cellular and molecular mechanisms for neuroprotection

open access: yesAnimal Models and Experimental Medicine, EarlyView.
Quercetin regulates signaling pathways in neurodegenerative diseases, including NF‐κB, sirtuins, and PI3K/Akt. Studies show quercetin improves symptoms and pathology in neurodegenerative models. The study aims to incorporate laboratory research into practical medical treatment, focusing on quercetin's neuroprotective effects and optimal dosage ...

Development and validation of BCG vaccine‐induced novel granulomatous liver injury preclinical animal model

open access: yesAnimal Models and Experimental Medicine, EarlyView.
The study successfully developed and validated a granulomatous liver injury model using a high‐dose BCG vaccine, simulating hepatic tuberculosis and autoimmune granulomatous liver diseases. Pharmacokinetic analysis examined the metabolic behavior of first‐line antitubercular drugs (isoniazid and rifampicin) and their main metabolites under conditions ...

Polarization‐Induced Quantum Confinement of Negative Charge Carriers by Organic Nanoporous Frameworks

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie, EarlyView.
Excess‐electrons in organic nanoporous systems—nanohoops, their assemblies, and COFs—can be confined and transported via diffuse states stabilized by long‐range polarization forces. These nanopore‐bound states, localized in nanopores or away from molecular scaffolds, exhibit enhanced electron coupling and nearly‐free‐electron bands, unlike traditional ...

Molecularly Designed Cathode for Copper‐Benzimidazole‐Induced CO2 Reduction to MeOH

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie, EarlyView.
A molecular cathode incorporating a strategically designed copper‐benzimidazole‐based electrocatalyst was developed for direct CO₂ capture and electrochemical conversion to methanol (e‐MeOH). This system follows a formato pathway, utilizing water as a proton source and thus eliminating the need for H₂ in e‐MeOH production.
