Phytochemistry, 1988Abstract The glucosinolate composition of the pollen from rapeseed (Brassica napus cv Midas) and Indian mustard (B.juncea. cv Early Yellow) was investigated by HPLC. Rapeseed pollen was found to contain significant amounts of 2-hydroxybut-3-enyl-, 2-hydroxypent-4-enyl-, pent-4-enyl-, and 2-phenylethylglucosinolates.

A cDNA encoding WGA was transferred to Indian mustard (Brassica juncea cv. RLM-198) through Agrobacterium-mediated transformation.

Theoretical and Applied Genetics, 1985A comparative study of peroxidase and esterase isozymes was carried out at five developmental stages of siliqua in order to characterize twelve genotypes of Indian mustard. The studies showed nearly the same number of isozyme bands at every stage for peroxidase and a varying number of isozyme bands for esterase.

Environmental Pollution, 2008This experiment was conducted to investigate the variation of nitrogen efficiency (NE), nitrogen uptake efficiency (UE), physiological nitrogen use efficiency (PUE) among Indian mustard genotypes, grown under N-insufficient and N-sufficient conditions. Nitrogen efficiency varied from 52.7 to 92.8.
