Rainfall Shapes the Diversity of Soil Nitrogen‐Fixing Microorganisms Worldwide
This study reveals the distinctive pattern and mechanism of rainfall driving the global biodiversity and biogeography of soil potential N‐fixing microorganisms, and constructs the theoretical framework. The results guide us on how to maintain ecosystem productivity under future climate changes (e.g., whether a specific region needs more N fertilizers ...

Experimental Verification of a Method for Improving the Efficiency of an Evaporative Tower Using IEC
This paper analyses the impact of inlet air precooling on the efficiency and electricity consumption of an open-type evaporative cooling tower. An Indirect Evaporative Cooler (IEC) was used to reduce the inlet air temperature, and its influence on system

Using a ketal‐protected glycerol derivative (solketal) as the oxidation substrate enables site‐selective electrooxidation that suppresses C–C cleavage on non‐noble catalysts. Highly alkaline conditions promote reactive solketal alkoxide formation, weaken the Cα─H bond to facilitate dehydrogenation, and buffer local acidification, enabling a record‐high

ABSTRACT Layered 2D materials are considered as promising for memristive applications due to their ultimate vertical scalability compared to conventional semiconductor films and pronounced hysteresis properties. Bias‐resolved Raman and Photoluminescence mapping is used to quantify strain from phonon shifts and carrier density from the exciton‐trion ...
