Indirect Georeferencing of Terrestrial Laser Scanning Data using Control Lines

open access: yesPhotogrammetric Record, 2013
AbstractAn indirect method for the georeferencing of 3D point clouds obtained with terrestrial laser scanning (TLS) data using control lines is presented. This technique could be used for rapid data acquisition where resources do not permit the use of expensive navigation sensors or the placement of pre‐signalised targets.

Indirect georeferencing of digital SLR imagery using signalised lidar control points

Photogrammetric Record, 2011
AbstractPhotogrammetric and lidar data‐sets have been used together in mapping procedures because of their complementary characteristics. However, to perform this integration both data‐sets must be within a common reference frame. Although all lidar systems include a direct georeferencing procedure, the majority of low‐cost photogrammetric systems do ...

Indirect georeferencing of CBERS-2 imagery with position and attitude constraint conditions

Proceedings of SPIE, 2009
In this paper, a new indirect georeferencing method for linear array imagery is presented. The new method fully utilizes the original orientation elements directly measured by geopositioning system carried on the satellite. First the systematic errors contained among linear and angular elements were modeled by second order polynomial functions ...
