Extrapolative Version of the Indirect Calibration Method
In this work, an idea is theoretically and experimentally developed the adaptation of the indirect method to calibration in the extrapolative mode. The proposed approach enables estimation of the analytical results through an extrapolative method in the case of both positive and negative slopes of calibration dependence. The principle of the method has

Abstract A principle of indirect methods of diagnostics theory is considered. Implementation and application of the method are given for the problems of technical diagnosis under the condition that source information is fuzzy data.

Abstract It is known that the matrix force method shows some advantages over the displacement method for certain classes of problems, particularly in optimization and in the stress concentration analysis. Notwithstanding this, few efforts have been made to employ this method in engineering problems.

On selecting indirect ordination methods
Vegetatio, 1980The purpose of this paper is to compare some indirect ordination methods to determine which can best extract information from real phytosociological data. There are several comparative studies of such techniques, but few employ field data. I have distilled from the literature several hypotheses concerning the relative merits of polar ordination (PO ...

An indirect method of information retrieval
Information Storage and Retrieval, 1968Abstract The information retrieval process, treated strictly as a matching procedure, has the defects that the whole file must be probed for each query, and that it overlooks the fact that the relevance of the information from one document depends upon what is already known about the subject, and in turn affects the relevance of other documents ...

Indirect laminate veneers as an indirect bonding method.
World journal of orthodontics, 2005Indirect bracket bonding methods that use individual tooth transfer trays offer several benefits compared to direct bonding techniques, as well as to indirect bonding systems that use transfer trays that include all of the teeth. Precise and correct bracket position presents the most significant advantage of all indirect bonding procedures, but this ...

Indirect methods of data collection
1993Interviewing and the use of questionnaires are two methods of data collection that rely very much on the involvement, participation and contribution of the respondents. These methods act directly on the respondents, who in turn provide information about themselves or about other people.

An evaluation of Goffman's indirect retrieval method
Information Processing & Management, 1976Abstract The indirect retrieval method proposed by Goffman is outlined and some similarities to other retrieval methods are indicated. The method is then evaluated and the results are compared with those obtained on the same document collection with cluster-based retrieval using single-link clustering.

Determination of fosfomycin by indirect spectrophotometric method
Talanta, 19992-(5-Bromo-2-pyridylazo)-5-diethylaminophenol (5-Br-PADAP) is a sensitive photometric reagent for determination of zirconium, when fosfomycin is added, it can quantitatively replace 5-Br-PADAP by complexing with zirconium, thus, an indirect spectrophotometric method based on ligand exchange has been established.
