Platelet labelling with indium-hydroxypyridinone and indium-hydroxypyranone complexes

European Journal of Nuclear Medicine, 1994
In order to identify new compounds which label platelets without affecting their function, three classes of metal chelating agents have been compared with oxine for their efficiency of indium-113m platelet labelling and for their short- and long-term effects on platelet function.

Occupational Exposure to Indium of Indium Smelter Workers.

Biomedical and environmental sciences : BES, 2016
Case reports of indium-related lung disease in workers have raised public concern to the human toxicity of indium (In) and its compounds. However, studies evaluating the exposure or health of workers in In smelting plants are rare. Therefore, in this study, we focused on four In smelting plants, with the main objective of characterizing In in smelter ...

Wetting of InP by indium‐ and indium‐tin melts

Crystal Research and Technology, 1989
AbstractOrientation dependent wetting of InP substrates by In‐ and InxSn1−x melts saturated with InP was studied using the sessile drop method. The contact angle was found to depend on the substrate orientation as follows: It is shown that a tin admixture to the indium melt improves the wetting behaviour.

The Fermi surface of indium and indium-based alloys

Solid State Communications, 1985
Abstract The calculation is made of uniaxial stresses applied along [0 0 1] and of hydrostatic pressure inducing topological transitions in indium. The Fermi surface of In 1− x Mg x alloy system is studied at various magnesium concentrations and the character of the change of electronic state density at the Fermi level is analysed.

Indium in Aviation

Aircraft Engineering and Aerospace Technology, 1944
IT is particularly appropriate to discuss Indium at a meeting of the Institute of the Aeronautical Sciences for it is in the aviation industry that Indium has received its greatest acclaim and has contributed so materially to the perfection of vital war machines.
