Social capital from an individual perspective
Three contributions to the social capital literature are presented in this thesis: Firstly, a concept of social capital that is compatible with the individual perspective prominent in neoclassical economics is identified. Secondly, a new tool to measure individual social capital is developed and applied.

Recent Advances in Collective Behaviors of Micro/Nanomotor Swarms
This review describes the driving forces behind collective motion, explores the self‐organization of micro/nano swarms across zero‐dimensional (0D), one‐dimensional (1D), two‐dimensional (2D), and three‐dimensional (3D) spaces, and highlights their potential in drug delivery, environmental monitoring, and smart devices.

Relative capital accumulation with heterogeneous individuals.
The purpose of this paper is to show how differences in individuals’ labour productivitiescause differences in their accumulation of capital, and thereby analysing the evolution of theincome distribution. There are three cases of interest: (i) the high productive accumulaterelatively more capital [growing inequality], (ii) no individual accumulates ...

A colloid‐mediated electroless plating (CMEP) strategy is proposed to fabricate hierarchically porous, amorphous Fe‐doped NiWB electrocatalysts under ambient conditions. The in situ formation of Fe‐W‐O colloidal species guides the formation of robust, porous catalyst layers with excellent mass transfer and durability, sustaining 500 mA cm−2 for 2000 h,

Maximizing atomic utilization of Pt is crucial for efficient electrocatalysis. We constructed a tensile‐strained PdPt1 single‐atom alloy (SAA) skin by implanting atomically dispersed Pt onto the surface of intermetallic Pd5Bi3 core‐ultrathin Pd shell octahedrons, fully exposing active Pt atoms to boost ethanol oxidation electrocatalysis.

Energy‐Efficient, Sustainable Cascade Glucose Electrooxidation into Glucaric Acid
This study presents a tandem system that efficiently converts glucose into glucaric acid while generating renewable electricity. By decoupling the oxidation process into two cascaded steps, the system achieves an overall 90% Faradaic efficiency and 80% conversion efficiency at ∼0.6 VRHE, significantly reducing energy consumption compared to traditional

Recent Progress on Flexible Multimodal Sensors: Decoupling Strategies, Fabrication and Applications
In this review, we establish a tripartite decoupling framework for flexible multimodal sensors, which elucidates the underlying principles of signal crosstalk and their solutions through material design, structural engineering, and AI algorithms. We also demonstrate its potential applications across environmental monitoring, health monitoring, human ...
