Is Australia's Indo-Pacific strategy an illusion?
International Affairs, 2020 Abstract Australia has been among the most prominent advocates of the increasingly popular Indo-Pacific concept. This article argues that Canberra's enthusiasm for the concept stems from its appeal to the two dominant traditions of Australian foreign policy—a ‘dependent ally’ tradition and a ‘middle power’ approach.

In this series of extreme rainfall events, Guangdong province recorded extreme rainfall exceeding 6‐sigma of climatology, with eleven cities reporting record‐breaking rainfall.

When they do consider foreign policy issues, they tend to focus heavily on Europe’s volatile and contested neighbourhood, both to the South and East.
