The EU's strategy for the Indo-Pacific
, 2021 Europeans are mostly pre-occupied with ending the pandemic and how to plan the recovery. When they do consider foreign policy issues, they tend to focus heavily on Europe’s volatile and contested neighbourhood, both to the South and East. This inward-looking and regional outlook is understandable.

Weather, EarlyView.This study documents the unseasonal and prolonged heavy rain events which occurred in southern China during April 2024. In this series of extreme rainfall events, Guangdong province recorded extreme rainfall exceeding 6‐sigma of climatology, with eleven cities reporting record‐breaking rainfall.
