Indocyanine green (ICG) fluorescence‐guided laparoscopic adrenalectomy

Journal of Surgical Oncology, 2015
ObjectiveLaparoscopic adrenalectomy has become the standard of care for many adrenal tumors. However, the success of the operation hinges on identifying the adrenal vein and complete tumor resection. We demonstrate the use of a commercially available near infrared fluorescent imaging system to clearly delineate the vascular anatomy of adrenal neoplasms

Indocyanine Green-Enhanced Fluorescence in Laparoscopic Sleeve Gastrectomy

Obesity Surgery, 2015
The aim of this study is to present our preliminary experience with indocyanine green fluorescence (IGF) imaging in laparoscopic sleeve gastrectomy. After dissection of the greater curve sleeve, gastrectomy is performed using a linear articulated stapler.

Indocyanine Green Fluorescence Properties

2016
The properties of indocyanine green (ICG) enable the observation of fluorescence images with a photodynamic eye (PDE) system after ICG is injected into a subject locally or intravenously. Over the last decade, many clinical applications using an ICG approach have been introduced, e.g., the detection of sentinel nodes in breast cancer and melanoma and ...

Infrared Fluorescence Videomicroscopy with Indocyanine Green (Cardiogreen®)

1987
After intravenous injection indocyanine green binds almost completely to the plasma proteins and may be detected in the skin capillaries by an infrared sensitive fluorescence videomicroscopy system. The technique opens a way to measure full capillary diameter and dimension of the plasma layer in an almost atraumatic way.

Burn Depth Estimation Using Indocyanine Green Fluorescence

Archives of Dermatology, 1992
Expedient primary excision of deep dermal and full-thickness burn wounds with subsequent skin grafting is the standard of care in most burn institutions, but differentiating full-thickness from partial-thickness burns is often difficult. Because accurate early assessment of burn depth may improve care, a variety of technical methods have attempted to ...

Indocyanine green fluorescence angiography: a new ERAS item

Updates in Surgery, 2018
ERAS protocol and indocyanine green fluorescence angiography (ICG-FA) represent the new surgical revolution minimizing complications and shortening recovery time in colorectal surgery. As of today, no studies have been published in the literature evaluating the impact of the ICG-FA in the ERAS protocol for the patients suitable for colorectal surgery ...

Micro-Dosing of Indocyanine Green for Intraoperative Fluorescence Cholangiography

Surgical Technology Online, 2021
Background: Surgery involving the biliary tree is common but has the potential for serious complications. Adjuncts such as intraoperative cholangiogram and, more recently, indocyanine green (ICG) fluorescence cholangiography, have been used to more accurately define the relevant anatomy and decrease the risk of common bile duct injury.
