Clinical application of indocyanine green-fluorescence imaging during hepatectomy [PDF]
In hepatobiliary surgery, the fluorescence and bile excretion of indocyanine green (ICG) can be used for real-time visualization of biological structure. Fluorescence cholangiography is used to obtain fluorescence images of the bile ducts following intrabiliary injection of 0.025-0.5 mg/mL ICG or intravenous injection of 2.5 mg ICG.

Liposomal nanoconfinement converts the hemicyanine photosensitizer RhM from Type‐II to Type‐I photodynamic therapy (PDT) while enhancing photothermal therapy (PTT). The RhM‐R837@Lip nanoassembly efficiently generates superoxide (O2•−) and hydroxyl radicals (•OH) to kill tumor cells and achieve tumor ablation.

Trinuclear Heptamethine Dyes for Shortwave Infrared In Vivo Imaging
The reactivity of cyclopentenyl‐bridged polymethine dyes is leveraged to synthesize shortwave infrared (SWIR)‐emissive di‐ and trinuclear polymethine dyes. Chromenylium‐ and flavylium‐based trinuclear dyes demonstrate increased nucleophilic stability, minimal aggregation in micelle formulations, and notable lymph node accumulation.

Doxorubicin (DOX)‐induced cardiotoxicity is a major limitation to its broader clinical application, while cardioprotective interventions often risk reducing the anticancer efficacy of DOX. To address these challenges, this work constructs an EDTA‐functionalized metal–organic framework that enhances tumor therapy and provides efficient cardioprotection ...

Extended Fused Carbazole‐BODIPY, High Brightness NIR Organic Dyes
Highly fused boron‐dipyrromethene (BODIPY) with a strong donor group has been synthesized, and their photophysical behaviors fully characterized. They exhibit outstanding brightness for fluorophores emitting in the NIR region. Water‐soluble nanoparticles filled with one of these dyes demonstrate high efficiency as the NIR II visualization agent ...

This review surveys nanoparticle‐based strategies to enhance adoptive cell therapy, particularly CAR‐T cell approaches, in solid tumor treatment. It describes how nanoparticles can improve tumor immunogenicity and T‐cell infiltration while reducing toxicity, and how they enable in vivo CAR‐T cell generation.
