Exhaled Volatile Organic Compounds Identify Allergic Patients Among Individuals With Chronic Rhinitis

Exhaled decane and nonadecane discriminate allergic (AR + LAR) from non‐allergic (NAR + HC) subjects among individuals with chronic rhinitis. LAR patients display higher levels of exhaled nonadecane than NAR individuals at baseline. Polypropylene Nanoplastic Exposure to Respiratory Epithelial Barrier‐On‐Chip and Interfacial Interactions With Human Serum Albumin

Exposure to 305 nm PP NPs significantly disrupts the airway barrier‐on‐chip, reducing TEER, suppressing ZO‐1/ACE2 expression, and triggering ROS‐mediated apoptosis. In biological media, PP NPs exhibit a biphasic adsorption pattern, leading to the formation of a protein corona that increases their size to 364 nm.

Postcode‐Level Variation and Environmental Determinants of Respiratory Allergies in a Large German Cohort

Young children (0–9 years) and residents of urban areas appeared particularly vulnerable to respiratory allergy development and exacerbation. Incidence showed nonlinear associations with PM10, PM2.5, temperature, and alder/birch pollen, while DPMR showed similar patterns, except for NO2 and the interaction O3*NO2.
