Performance of natural, exhaust, demand controlled exhaust and heat recovery residential ventilation systems as prescribed by the standards in 5 European countries [PDF]
Over the last decades, residential ventilation standards have been integrated in most of the buildings codes of European countries. Contrarily to the consolidation effort in the development of the nonresidential ventilation standard EN 13779, most of the

In this work, anisotropic line‐like textures with gradually increasing spatial periods from 2.0 to 4.8 µm are fabricated on stainless steel by two‐beam Direct Laser Interference Patterning using a picosecond (ps)laser source. The spontaneous motion of water droplets deposited on these gradient structures in the direction of increasing periodicity is ...

The present work is concerned with the fabrication of CO2 sensors based on MWCNTs/ZnO material, which is obtained by RF magnetron sputtering and electron‐beam deposition methods. The sensor exhibits highly sensitive and selective behavior, high repeatability, and temporal stability at low CO2 concentrations.

Organic–Inorganic Hybrid Indium Halide Perovskites with Near‐Unity Photoluminescence Quantum Yield
The intrinsic low photoluminescence quantum yield (PLQY) of organic–inorganic hybrid halide perovskites has limited their applications in optoelectronic devices. In this work, novel (PMA)₄InCl₇·0.5H₂O single crystals are developed and a PLQY of approximately 100% through optimized antimony ion (Sb3⁺) doping is achieved. The light‐emitting diodes (LEDs)

Kinetic studies on using photocatalytic coatings for removal of indoor volatile organic compounds [PDF]
Titanium dioxide (TiO2) is a known photocatalyst with a capability of decomposing organic substance. However, the photocatalysis of the pure TiO2 is not effective for the indoor environment due to a lack of the ultraviolet irradiation inside the building.

Biocompatibility and Long‐Term Stability of DNA‐Based Organic Mixed Conductors for Bioelectronics
The biocompatibility and long‐term stability of DNA‐based mixed ionic‐electronic conductors are investigated. In vitro cytotoxicity and cell viability are assessed using flow cytometry assay on primary mouse fibroblasts cultures. The biocomposites are integrated into organic electrochemical transistors (OECTs) to determine the stability of their ...
