Long‐term impact of exposure to Royal Guard, a pyriproxyfen‐based bed net, on pyrethroid‐resistant malaria vectors from Cameroon using DNA‐based metabolic resistance markers

open access: yesPest Management Science, Volume 81, Issue 4, Page 2165-2180, April 2025.
We used recently detected P450 DNA‐based markers of pyrethroid resistance in both Anopheles funestus and Anopheles gambiae to demonstrate that although pyrethroid‐resistant mosquitoes have higher ability to survive and live longer after exposure to Royal Guard, this net significantly affects their lifespan, blood feeding ability and interestingly ...

Safety Inspections and Gas Monitoring in Hazardous Mining Areas Shortly After Blasting Using Autonomous UAVs

open access: yesJournal of Field Robotics, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT This article presents the first ever fully autonomous UAV (Unmanned Aerial Vehicle) mission to perform gas measurements after a real blast in an underground mine. The demonstration mission was deployed around 40 min after the blast took place, and as such realistic gas levels were measured.

ROV Teleoperation in the Presence of Cross‐Currents Using Soft Haptics

open access: yesJournal of Field Robotics, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT The remote operation of underwater vehicles at depth is complicated by the presence of invisible and unpredictable environmental disturbances such as cross‐currents. Communicating the presence of these disturbances to an operator on the surface is made more difficult by the nature of the disturbances and the lack of visible features to ...
