Measurement of Indoor Bioaerosol Levels by a Direct Counting Method
Journal of Environmental Engineering, 1996Research of indoor biocontamination is motivated by the potential for bioaerosols to cause human illness. Several methods have been used for sampling indoor bioaerosol levels. For screening or characterization purposes of indoor bioaerosol contamination, the Andersen viable (microbial) particle sizing sampler, the portable Reuter centrifugal sampler ...

Assessment and modeling of indoor fungal and bacterial bioaerosol concentrations
Aerobiologia, 2003In recent years, potentially harmfulmicroorganisms such as Stachybotryschartarum have garnered national attentionwhen implicated with indoor air problems. However, accurate assessment of biologicallycontaminated indoor air has proven to beprohibitively labor, time, cost, and trainingintensive.

Inactivation of Bioaerosol in Indoor Air by DC Corona Discharge
Applied Mechanics and Materials, 2014A novel DC corona discharge technology was applied on inactivation of bioaerosol in indoor air. A wide range of initial concentration of microorganisms (from 35×104 CFU/m3 to 3×106 CFU/m3) was tested to show excellent germicidal properties for its high inactivation efficiency. Over 99.997% of microbe into the reactor were inactivated at t=150s, EP 2kV/

Characterization of Indoor Air Bioaerosols in an Electrical Headquarter Building
Indoor and Built Environment, 2012Bioaerosols may produce poor indoor air quality and affect the health of the building occupants. We identified bacteria and fungi from bioaerosols and determined the microbial density values by the impaction method on solid surface in 104 locations distributed in 26 floors from an electrical headquarter building.

Laboratory experiments on indoor bioaerosol deposition onto various surface materials
2016Increasingly, people spend their time indoors and at the same time cases of unacceptable indoor air quality are on the rise. Poor indoor air quality has been shown to cause respiratory symptoms, irritation, and other short- and long-term health outcomes.
