A scalable, color‐adaptive radiative cooling coating is developed to enable dynamic spectral regulation via a reversible thermochromic transition at ~45 °C and a high solar reflectance of 91.7%. The coating achieves 4.44 °C outdoor sub‐ambient cooling while providing robust superhydrophobicity and environmental durability through its micro/nano ...

This study evaluates the performance of bifacial and monofacial PV modules in agrivoltaic systems using PVsyst simulations. Real albedo measurements from a wheat field were incorporated to ensure realistic results. Bifacial modules demonstrated a 19.46% increase in energy yield compared to monofacial ones.

Calibrating RSS-Based Indoor Positioning Systems
2009 IEEE International Conference on Wireless and Mobile Computing, Networking and Communications, 2009Location estimation based on Received Signal Strength (RSS) is the prevalent method in indoor positioning. For RSS-based methods a massive collection of training RSS samples is needed to calibrate the positioning system and to achieve a high positioning quality.

Bayesian indoor positioning systems
Proceedings IEEE 24th Annual Joint Conference of the IEEE Computer and Communications Societies., 2005In this paper, we introduce a new approach to location estimation where, instead of locating a single client, we simultaneously locate a set of wireless clients. We present a Bayesian hierarchical model for indoor location estimation in wireless networks.

RFID-based indoor positioning system
International Journal of Radio Frequency Identification Technology and Applications, 2011In logistics supply chains, automated guided vehicles are not used owing to the lack of suitable localised positioning systems to guide them. A wide variety of technologies have been researched including vision, sensor networks and radio frequency signals, but there are still issues in cost, accuracy, line of sight and installation of these ...

Calibrating Indoor Positioning Systems with Low Efforts
IEEE Transactions on Mobile Computing, 2014Recently, the positioning techniques based on the IEEE 802.11 signal strength are becoming the dominant solutions in the mobile device localization within indoor scenarios. Such solutions are characterized by two main pitfalls that compromise their effective usage in real application environments. First, during the calibration, a large amount of manual

INDOOR POSITIONING SYSTEM using ultrasonics
Proceedings of 2012 9th International Bhurban Conference on Applied Sciences & Technology (IBCAST), 2012INDOOR POSITIONING SYSTEM is a system in which we can locate the position of an object in an indoor environment utilizing ultrasonic waves generated by narrow directional ultrasonic transmitter. To achieve the objective of position detection, we have designed ultrasonic transmitter and receiver circuits, RF transmitter, and receiver for synchronization

Secure Crowdsourced Indoor Positioning Systems
IEEE INFOCOM 2018 - IEEE Conference on Computer Communications, 2018Indoor positioning systems (IPSes) can enable many location-based services in large indoor environments where GPS is not available or reliable. Mobile crowdsourcing is widely advocated as an effective way to construct IPS maps. This paper presents the first systematic study of security issues in crowd-sourced WiFi-based IPSes to promote security ...
