Adaptive Carbon Nanotube Patches for Versatile Electronic Textiles and Wind‐Harvesting Applications

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Technologies, Volume 11, Issue 11, 5 June 2026.
An adhesion‐tunable electronic textile patch based on a carbon nanotube/paraffin composite is presented, enabling direct, adhesive‐free integration with fabrics. Pressure‐responsive bonding allows reversible or permanent attachment on demand.

An integrated approach to indoor contaminant modelling

open access: yes, 2006
Air pollutants are those chemicals that are not generally present in the atmosphere because of natural causes but are disseminated into the air by human activity. In most parts of Europe, outdoor pollutants are principally the products of combustion from

Wearable Tailored Passive Radiative Cooling Textile for Flexible Electronic Integration

open access: yesAdvanced Science, Volume 13, Issue 31, 4 June 2026.
A scalable, additive‐free wearable tailored passive radiative cooling textile (WRCT) with hierarchically structured fibers delivers exceptional thermal management, combining >95% solar reflectance, 0.96 mid‐infrared emissivity, and ultralow thermal conductivity (0.041 W/m·K).

Thermal comfort during Direct Load Control events in university lecture theatres

open access: yes, 2014
As a common approach to cope with air-conditioning peak demand, Direct Load Control (DLC) strategy has yielded positive results in Australian residential buildings. However, in university lecture theatres with high occupancy density and ventilation rate,

Characteristics and Evaluation of Thermal Comfort Around River in Banjarmasin City

open access: yes, 2020
The density of buildings in a city has affected the urban microclimate. The urban area gets hotter than the rural area. Characteristics of nature and climate need special attention.

Gecko‐Like Multi‐Directional High‐Power Magneto–Mechano–Electric Energy Harvesters for Self‐Powered, Hundred‐Meter‐Scale LoRa Communication

open access: yesAdvanced Science, Volume 13, Issue 32, 9 June 2026.
Gecko like multi directional high power magneto mechano electric energy harvester (MME EH) for self powered, hundred meter scale LoRa communication. Inspired by the symmetric and flexible limb motion of geckos, the biomimetic harvester enables coordinated bending twisting responses to weak, low frequency (50/60 Hz) stray magnetic fields from power ...

Indoor Thermal Comfort, an Evolutionary Biology Perspective

open access: yes, 2006
As is becoming increasingly clear, the human species evolved in the East African savannah. Details of the precise evolutionary chain remain unresolved however it appears that the process lasted several million years, culminating with the emergence of modern Homo sapiens roughly 200,000 years ago.

Molecular Design and Interfacial Functions of Self‐Assembled Monolayers for Perovskite and Tandem Solar Cells

open access: yesAdvanced Energy Materials, Volume 16, Issue 23, 17 June 2026.
We identify two decisive levers for SAM interfaces: molecular design (carboxylic acid‐based, phosphonic acid, other anchoring chemistries, and polymeric SAMs) and mixing routes (co‐assembly, in situ assembly, pre‐ and post‐treatment). Coordinated tuning of headgroups and assembly pathways optimises energy alignment and film formation, suppresses ...

The Path to Future‐Proof Photovoltaics in Europe: Current Status and Impact of Technological Innovation on Reliable and Bankable Photovoltaics

open access: yesAdvanced Energy and Sustainability Research, Volume 7, Issue 6, June 2026.
This article provides an overview of the current state of the art and future improvements in PV technology and explains how changes in the technology and design of individual PV components—at the module level, the balance‐of‐system (BOS) level, or the PV plant level—can affect the reliability, durability, and energy output of a PV system.
