Seed Germination and Seedling Growth on Knitted Fabrics as New Substrates for Hydroponic Systems
Vertical farming is one of the suggested avenues for producing food for the growing world population. Concentrating the cultivation of crops such as herbs in large indoor farms makes food production susceptible to technical, biological or other problems ...

A bacterial‐derived AvPBL gene encoding a pantothenate‐β‐alanine ligase was identified in Amphitetranychus viennensis. RNAi silencing of AvPBL reduced pantothenic acid production, impairing reproduction and diapause induction, while pantothenic acid supplementation rescued these phenotypes.

Can Food Acquisition Priority Alter Emotion, Physiological Responses, and Social Rank in Fish?
We tested whether a cichlid fish perceives inequitable food distribution by manipulating feeding order. Priority‐fed individuals consumed more, had higher condition factors, and exhibited lower whole‐body cortisol than delayed‐fed fish, while personality, metabolism, dopamine, and social rank did not differ.

WAH‐i: Optimising microphone array geometry for customised localisation accuracy
Abstract Accurate spatial localisation of free‐flying echolocating bats is foundational for resolving fine‐scale flight and echolocation behaviour, prey interception and spatial decision‐making in natural environments. Acoustic localisation using microphone arrays is widely employed for this purpose, yet array geometries in field studies are typically ...
