New data on the „Indosinian“ Orogeny from Central Thailand

open access: greenGeologische Rundschau, 1983
The main aspects of the geosynclinal and orogenic evolution of the Petchabun foldbelt in Central Thailand are described. This area was previously thought to be deformed by the „Indosinian“ (Triassic) orogeny. The new data show that the main orogenic event in Thailand can be dated: Post Lower Permian — Pre Uppermost Permian.

Indosinian isotope ages of plutons and deposits in southwestern Miaoershan-Yuechengling, northeastern Guangxi and implications on Indosinian mineralization in South China [PDF]

open access: yesChinese Science Bulletin, 2012
The Miaoershan-Yuechengling complex pluton is the largest granitoid complex in the western Nanling metallogenic belt with a surface exposure of >3000 km2. The complex pluton is composed of an early stage granitoid batholith and late stage small intrusions. The early stage batholith contains mainly medium-grained porphyritic mica granite and porphyritic

The Indosinian collision–extension event between the South China Block and the Palaeo-Pacific plate: Evidence from Indosinian alkaline granitic rocks in Dashuang, eastern Zhejiang, South China

open access: hybridLithos, 2013
AbstractThis study reports on the first comprehensive analysis of the geology, petrology and origin of the Dashuang pluton in Jinhua, eastern Zhejiang, South China, which is predominantly composed of quartz monzonite and subordinate quartz syenite that includes variable amounts of aegirine–augite.

Evolution of the Longmen Shan Foreland Basin (Western Sichuan, China) during the Late Triassic Indosinian Orogeny

open access: greenBasin Research, 2003
ABSTRACTThe Longmen Shan Foreland Basin developed as a flexural foredeep during the Late Triassic Indosinian orogeny, spanning the time period c. 227–206 Ma. The basin fill can be divided into three tectonostratigraphic units overlying a basal megasequence boundary, and is superimposed on the Palaeozoic–Middle Triassic (Anisian) carbonate‐dominated ...

A Study on the Heterogeneity Characteristics of Geological Controls on Coalbed Methane Accumulation in Gujiao Coalbed Methane Field, Xishan Coalfield, China

open access: yesGeofluids, 2021
Commercial exploration and exploitation of coalbed methane (CBM) in Gujiao coalbed methane (CBM) field, Xishan coalfield, have rapidly increased in recent decades. The Gujiao CBM field has shown strong gas distribution heterogeneity, low gas content, and

Palaeokarst characteristics and effects on reservoirs in the fourth member of Leikoupo Formation, Longmen Mountain front, western Sichuan Basin

open access: yesShiyou shiyan dizhi, 2021
Dolostones of tidal flat facies are the major reservoir rock type of the fourth member of Leikoupo Formation, Longmen Mountain front, western Sichuan Basin. The reservoir controls are dominated by phase belt, dolomitization and denudation.

U-Pb Dating of Zircons and Ore-bearing Potential of Zhulanbu Intrusions in the Southern Jiangxi Province

open access: yesYankuang ceshi, 2016
Zhulanbu granite is located in the Nanling district with a large exposed area, but its formation age is still unknown. It was previously considered to have formed at the Yanshanian, but no precise isotopic age was reported, as a result of the limitation ...

Indosinian tectonics in Vietnam

open access: yesComptes Rendus. Géoscience, 2008
In Vietnam, the Triassic Indosinian collision affected coevally the Truong Son belt and the Kontum Massif, which were not independent tectonic units, but parts of the same Gondwana-derived Indochina continental block. This thermotectonic event took place synchronously throughout Vietnam, during the Lower Triassic 250–240-Ma time interval, as ...

On the deep seated faults in the Northern Caucasus

open access: yesЛитосфера, 2020
Research subject. The paper describes large tectonic zones in the North Caucasus, which can be classified as deep faults according to a number of features. Among these formations are the Ancient axial fault zone earlier described by G.D. Azh-girei, which
