Numerical Analysis on Burn Injury of Human Skin Exposed to Varying Flash Fire Conditions

open access: yesEngineering Reports, Volume 7, Issue 7, July 2025.
A 3D prototype model of human skin, comprising epidermis, dermis, and subcutaneous tissue, analyzes temperature impacts for flash fire Q = 83,200 W/m2, conductivity (ke = 0.21, kd = 0.37, ks = 0.16) and specific heat capacities (Cpe = 3578, Cpd = 3200, Cps = 2288).

Nutritional Influences on Brown and Beige Adipocyte: Unraveling the Molecular Mechanisms and Metabolic Implications

open access: yesFood Science &Nutrition, Volume 13, Issue 7, July 2025.
Nutrient‐focused dietary strategies can enhance BAT function and activity, thereby contributing to the modulation of metabolic disorders and the optimization of metabolic health. ABSTRACT Brown adipose tissue (BAT) and beige adipose tissue (beige fat) function as thermogenic organs, significantly influencing human metabolism through various mechanisms.

Vinegar‐Processed Black Soybean Promotes Hair Growth and Prevents Alopecia via Wnt/β‐Catenin Pathway

open access: yesFood Science &Nutrition, Volume 13, Issue 7, July 2025.
Vinegar‐processed black soybean (VPBS) and its aqueous extract (VPBS‐AE) dose‐dependently accelerated hair growth, stimulated anagen phase entry, and attenuated cyclophosphamide‐induced alopecia. VPBS‐AE promoted follicular repair, delayed alopecia, and preserved follicle integrity.

The effectiveness of a cesarean delivery bundle with vaginal preparation, cefazolin, and azithromycin in reducing postoperative infections: A before‐and‐after study

open access: yesInternational Journal of Gynecology &Obstetrics, Volume 170, Issue 1, Page 448-455, July 2025.
Abstract Objective To evaluate the effectiveness of a cesarean delivery (CD) bundle including preoperative vaginal preparation, cefazolin and azithromycin administration, compared with cefazolin alone, in reducing postoperative infections, among women undergoing CD during the second stage of labor.

Effects of Adding Transversus Abdominis Plane Block on Intravenous Nalbuphine and Dexmedetomidine for Severely Pre‐Eclamptic Parturients After Cesarean Delivery

open access: yesThe Kaohsiung Journal of Medical Sciences, Volume 41, Issue 7, July 2025.
ABSTRACT The use of opioids is frequently associated with the occurrence of adverse effects during cesarean delivery, especially for primiparous women with severe preeclampsia, creating a critical need for investigation of alternative analgesic strategies.
