Rhizobacteria-mediated induced systemic resistance in Arabidopsis
Selected strains of rhizosphere bacteria have been shown to reduce disease by activating a resistance mechanism in the plant called rhizobacteria-mediated induced systemic resistance (ISR). ISR resembles pathogen-induced systemic acquired resistance (SAR), in that both types of induced resistance render uninfected plant parts more resistant towards a ...

Bioprosthetic aortic valves have revolutionized the treatment of aortic stenosis, but their durability is limited by structural valve deterioration (SVD). This review focuses on the pericardial tissue at the heart of these valves, examining how its mechanical properties and calcification drive fatigue and failure.

This article presents a photo‐responsive nanoparticle platform that precisely triggers copper‐dependent cuproptotic cell death in (drug‐resistant) cancer cells. The system remains stable and inactive in the dark but releases cytotoxic species upon red‐light irradiation, achieving potent activity in drug‐resistant breast cancer cells.

Induced systemic resistance by plant growth-promoting rhizobacteria.
Rhizobacteria are present in large numbers on the root surface, where plantexudates and lysates provide nutrients. Selected strains of beneficial, plant growthpromoting rhizobacteria (PGPR) trigger a plant-mediated induced systemic resistance(ISR) response that is effective against a broad spectrum of plant pathogens. To studythe molecular basis of ISR,

Strategies for Loading and Releasing Peptide Therapeutics in Biodegradable Carriers
A biodegradable carrier‐based peptide delivery system is a powerful treatment platform for diverse diseases, owing to its superior therapeutic efficacy and low toxicity. This review examines the conventional peptide‐loaded carrier fabrication process and its current limitations.
