Departmental induction and the simulated surgical ward round

The Clinical Teacher, 2015
Summary Background Departmental induction for junior doctors is a very important part of the process of handover, so as to facilitate continuity of care and patient safety. Historically this is led by senior doctors within the department, and may not cover the topics that are most needed.

Simulation of Induction Heat Treating

2010
AbstractThis article describes the applications of induction heat treatment of metals, including normalizing, annealing, hardening, and tempering and stress relieving. It discusses the simulation techniques of the electromagnetic and thermal processes that occur during induction heat treating.

Simulation of Novel Linear Inductive Displacement Sensor

2011 21st International Conference on Systems Engineering, 2011
One of the displacement measurement methods is using inductive sensors, usable for both small and large displacement. In this paper a 3-D linear inductive displacement sensor has been introduced. The proposed sensor consists of 2 elements that can measure 5cm with accuracy of 100im in large scale measurement.

Simulation of an inductive coupled power transfer system

IECON 2016 - 42nd Annual Conference of the IEEE Industrial Electronics Society, 2016
This paper presents two methods for simulating inductive coupled power transfer. The simulations are done using finite element calculations in Comsol Multiphysics. An analytic approach that uses the filamentary method is considered in order to compare the simulation results.

Fatigue Induction in Simulated Driving

2019
The induction of passive fatigue in simulated driving environments with non-sleep-deprived drivers is an important requirement for all studies of this thesis dealing either with the detection or with the mitigation of passive fatigue.

Modeling and simulation of an induction motor

Optime
Due to their affordability, dependability, and longevity, induction motors are among the most widely used motors. The induction motor is modeled and simulated within a stationary reference frame using the qd0 transformation theory. The motor's dynamic activity is captured by the differential equations of the system. MATLAB/SIMULINK is used to carry out

A circuit for floating inductance simulation

Proceedings of the IEEE, 1974
An active RC realization of a lossy floating inductor is presented. The circuit uses two operational amplifiers--each in the unity gain connection--three resistors, and two capacitors, and has low L and Q sensitivities to passive as well as active components.

Simulation-Assisted Inductive Learning.

1988
Learning by induction can require a large number of training examples. We show the power of using a simulator to generate training data and test data in learning rules for an expert system. The induction program is RL, a simplified version of Meta-DENDRAL.
