Induction motor fault recognition
1985The work presented in this thesis is based on theoretical and experimental investigations into the changes in measurable squirrel cage induction machine parameters such as vibration, line current and leakage flux which alter during machine faults.

Transient overspeeding of induction motors
Electrical Engineering, 1941A transient swing above synchronous speed has been observed when a certain standard squirrel cage induction motor was started without load. This paper presents an explanation of the phenomenon based on the frequency modulation of the power supply caused by the rapid variation of the power taken from the line.

Field harmonics in induction motors
Electrical Engineering, 1942ABOUT 40 papers have been written on the asynchronous torques, synchronous cusps at running, synchronous cusps at standstill (dead points), and noise of the induction motor. The subject has been also treated in some textbooks.∗ My aim is to give a coherent representation of the harmonic problem in induction motors.

Zigzag leakage of induction motors
Proceedings of the American Institute of Electrical Engineers, 1907Various formulas have been given heretofore for the predetermination of the leakage coefficient of induction motors, but the results derived from these formulas are so divergent that the formulas themselves are rather discredited. It seems to the writer that the following study about the values of the zigzag leakage may help to clear this somewhat ...

Modeling and control of induction motors.
2001This paper is devoted to the modeling and control of the induction motor. The well-established field oriented control is recalled and two recent control strategies are exposed, namely the passivity-based control and the flatness-based control.
