Uncertainty in Multi-Commodity Routing Networks: When does it help?

open access: yes, 2018
We study the equilibrium behavior in a multi-commodity selfish routing game with many types of uncertain users where each user over- or under-estimates their congestion costs by a multiplicative factor.

Shaping Ti3C2 MXene Nanospheres for Precision Near‐Infrared Photothermal Therapy

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
In this study, we report producing spherical MXenes via fs laser fragmentation of Ti3C2 flakes in liquid medium. The nanoparticles demonstrated pronounced light absorption and high photothermal conversion efficiencies of 68% and 63% under heating with NIR‐I and NIR‐II lasers, respectively.

Entropy driven inductive response of topological insulators

open access: yesSciPost Physics Core
3D topological insulators are characterized by an insulating bulk and extended surface states exhibiting a helical spin texture. In this work, we investigate the hyperfine interaction between the spin-charge coupled transport of electrons and the nuclear

Viscosity Effects in Acoustic Inductances [PDF]

open access: yesThe Journal of the Acoustical Society of America, 1951
The linear acoustic inductance and resistance of narrow circular tubes, short compared to a wavelength, have usually been represented by limiting formulas valid either for very low frequencies (viscous flow) or for relatively high frequencies (pistonlike displacement).

Covalent Organic Frameworks for Photocatalytic CO2 Reduction: Metal Integration Principles, Strategies and Functions

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Covalent organic frameworks (COFs) with metals have been recognized as versatile platforms for photocatalytic CO2 reduction (CO2PRR). Herein, an overview of metal integration strategies for COFs is systematically summarized. Regulatory mechanisms and structure–activity relationships between metal integration and COF‐based CO2PRR are emphasized.

Effect of aging levels and induction factors on self-healing ability by induction heating method in hot asphalt mixtures

open access: yesCase Studies in Construction Materials
Asphalt aging severely degrades pavement performance, necessitating efficient self-healing technologies. The self-healing mechanism was evaluated using induction heating facilitated by scrap iron powder as the inductive agent, incorporated into the ...

A Polar Concept Argument for the Existence of Abstracta [PDF]

open access: yes, 2003
In this paper, I present a polar concept argument for the existence of abstract objects. After recalling the fundamentals concerning the debate about the existence of abstracta, I present in a detailed way the argument for the existence of abstracta.

Sustainable Catalyst‐Free PLG Networks: Recyclability, Biodegradability, and Functional Performance

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A catalyst‐additive free covalent adaptable network is developed from star‐shaped poly(lactide‐co‐glycolide) cross‐linked with pyromellitic dianhydride, enabling internal carboxylic acid‐driven transesterification. The resulting biodegradable network exhibits mechanical robustness (Young's modulus ≈1.6 GPa), complete recyclability, rapid biodegradation
