Facet‐Engineered S‐Scheme Heterostructure With Enhanced Active Sites for Efficient Photocatalytic Degradation of Organic Contaminants

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
The facet‐engineered ZnO/Zn3In2S6 heterostructure, dominated by {001} plane coupling, exposes abundant unsaturated Zn sites with elongated Zn─O bonds, directing photoexcited charge carriers along an S‐scheme pathway and suppressing recombination. Enhanced interfacial Zn adsorption toward bisphenol A and methylene blue further synergistically promotes ...

Biotelemetric Wireless Intracranial Pressure Monitoring: An In Vitro Study

open access: yesInternational Journal of Antennas and Propagation, 2015
Assessment of intracranial pressure (ICP) is of great importance in management of traumatic brain injuries (TBIs). The existing clinically established ICP measurement methods require catheter insertion in the cranial cavity.

Prediction of PWM-Induced Current Ripple in Subdivided Stator Windings Using Admittance Analysis

open access: yesEnergies, 2019
Subdividing stator winding is a way to lower the DC link voltage value in electric drives and reduce the stress on motor insulation. Coupled windings sharing the same stator teeth are modelled in order to evaluate the link between voltages disparities ...

Finite Type Link Concordance Invariants [PDF]

open access: yes, 1999
This paper is a generalization of the author's previous work on link homotopy to link concordance. We show that the only real-valued finite type link concordance invariants are the linking numbers of the components.Comment: 19 pages, many figures ...

Selective Separation of the Rare Earth Elements Dysprosium and Neodymium via Tailoring Nanocellulose Chemical Structure

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Dicarboxylate‐modified anionic hairy cellulose nanocrystals exhibit a high selectivity for dysprosium(III) over neodymium(III). This selectivity arises from disordered dicarboxylate cellulose “hairs” that enable cooperative ionic coordination, hydrogen bonding, and strain‐induced conformational shrinkage.

Miniaturized Resonant Power Conversion for Implanted Medical Devices

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2017
The design of a millimetre-sized power converter is proposed which is based on coil coupling that could be integrated into the neural or cardiac implantable medical device (IMD) to provide isolated power or energy transmission by harvesting it from ...

An exact Tur\'an result for tripartite 3-graphs [PDF]

open access: yes, 2015
Mantel's theorem says that among all triangle-free graphs of a given order the balanced complete bipartite graph is the unique graph of maximum size. We prove an analogue of this result for 3-graphs. Let $K_4^-=\{123,124,134\}$, $F_6=\{123,124,345,156\}$

Sustainable Catalyst‐Free PLG Networks: Recyclability, Biodegradability, and Functional Performance

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A catalyst‐additive free covalent adaptable network is developed from star‐shaped poly(lactide‐co‐glycolide) cross‐linked with pyromellitic dianhydride, enabling internal carboxylic acid‐driven transesterification. The resulting biodegradable network exhibits mechanical robustness (Young's modulus ≈1.6 GPa), complete recyclability, rapid biodegradation

Biointerface Membranes Orchestrating Site‐Specific Osteoimmunomodulatory and Antibacterial Effects for Enhanced Osseous Regeneration in Periodontal Therapy

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Here, a biointerface membrane engineered with site‐specific interfacial properties is developed. During implantation between gingival and bone defect, the membrane creates a pro‐osteogenic microenvironment, precisely modulates cellular activities at each biointerface, and facilitates the orchestration of complex healing events, ultimately leading to ...
