Power Transfer With an Inductive Link and Wireless Tuning

IEEE Transactions on Instrumentation and Measurement, 2013
This paper presents the analysis of two air-coupled coils used to transfer energy to charge a battery. This battery is used to power an electronic device designed to monitor variables such as impact strength, range of temperature, and humidity associated with the transport of fruits.

Self Training Wrapper Induction with Linked Data

2014
This work explores the usage of Linked Data for Web scale Information Extraction, with focus on the task of Wrapper Induction. We show how to effectively use Linked Data to automatically generate training material and build a self-trained Wrapper Induction method.

An evolutionary approach to constructive induction for link discovery

Proceedings of the 11th Annual Conference Companion on Genetic and Evolutionary Computation Conference: Late Breaking Papers, 2009
This paper presents a genetic programming-based symbolic regression approach to the construction of relational features in link analysis applications. Specifically, we consider the problems of predicting, classifying and annotating friends relations in friends networks, based upon features constructed from network structure and user profile data.

Induction of Closely Linked Multiple Mutations by Nitrosoguanidine

Nature New Biology, 1971
N-methyl-N-nitro-N-nitrosoguanidine (nitrosoguanidine) is a powerful and widely used mutagen. Using synchronized populations of Escherichia coliwe have shown that large numbers of mutations occur at specific loci when these loci are replicated1. This specificity makes it possible to use nitrosoguanidine to direct mutagenesis, to study the mode of ...

Analysis of transcutaneous inductive powering links

2012 4th International Conference on Intelligent and Advanced Systems (ICIAS2012), 2012
Inductive coupling link is widely used in transcutaneous power transmission to transfer data and power to the implanted biomedical devices such as implanted micro-sensor system. The inductive coupling variables play a strong rule in coupling efficiency. In this paper the coupling link variables is investigated and analyzed. The resonant frequency 13.56

A cycloconvertor-linked induction heating system

IEE Proceedings B Electric Power Applications, 1983
A naturally commutated cycloconvertor-type frequency-changer system operating in the inverting mode has been used for the first time for the induction heating of metals, thus dispensing with the usual DC link. The proposed scheme has been mathematically analysed. Control schemes have been devised and are experimentally verified.

Inductive link design for medical implants

2009 IEEE Symposium on Industrial Electronics & Applications, 2009
This paper describes design principles to design and develop a transcutaneous link for medical implants using inductively coupled coils. Parameters which optimize link efficiency have been discussed in the light of previous studies and a simple design methodology to find optimized parameters for Class E amplifier and inductive coils is outlined.

An inductive link for an intracortical visual prosthesis

2011 5th International IEEE/EMBS Conference on Neural Engineering, 2011
Wireless operation is highly desirable for implanted neural prostheses used for neural stimulation or recording on many channels, whether the goal is to restore lost motor function or sensory capability in humans or to perform neuroscience research in animals without transcutaneous leads. However, the necessarily small size of stimulating and recording

Modeling of mutual inductance for planar inductors used in inductive link applications

2012 IEEE International Conference on Electron Devices and Solid State Circuit (EDSSC), 2012
Prediction of mutual coupling is needed to characterize any inductive link system used in wireless power transfer applications. This paper presents a compact model of mutual inductance between two planar inductors at various separation distances. The proposed model is derived by solving the Neumann's integral using series expansion technique. Numerical

An Inductive Power Link for a Capsule Endoscope

2009
The capsule endoscope, or wireless endoscope, turns up as example in several occasions throughout this work. This is not a coincidence, since the issues and concepts dealt with in this book regarding omnidirectional inductive powering, have been inspired directly by the application of wireless endoscopy.
