Understanding the Role of Copper Oxidation State on a TiO2/ZSM‐5 Catalyst for Photocatalytic CO2 Reduction to Methanol

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Interfaces, EarlyView.
The influence of copper oxidation states on TiO₂/ZSM‐5 catalysts is investigated for photocatalytic CO2 reduction to methanol. A Cuδ⁺‐modified Ti₂/ZSM‐5 catalyst (CTZ‐1) exhibits superior activity due to enhanced electronhole separation, the presence of Ti3⁺, and a core–shell structure.

Nanohybrid of Silver‐MXene: A Promising Sorbent for Iodine Gas Capture from Nuclear Waste

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Interfaces, EarlyView.
Silver‐MXene (Ag‐Ti3C2Tx) nanohybrids effectively captured iodine gas at 150 °C, with Ag nanoparticles loaded onto MXene via silver nitrate reduction. Upon exposure to iodine gas, silver iodide forms, confirming successful adsorption. Ag‐Ti3C2Tx shows superior iodine uptake (946 mg g−1) compared to conventional sorbents, demonstrating its potential as ...

Study of causal relationships among indicators of academic performance in the freshman year of Computer Science by using modal implicative analysis

open access: yesMaestro y Sociedad, 2018
The Statistical Implicative Analysis (SIA) is a method of non-symmetrical analysis of data whose main objective is the structuring of data, interrelating individuals and variables, the extraction of inductive rules among the variables and from their ...

Computationally Guided Liquid Crystal‐Based Competitive Binding Sensing Platform for Optical Detection of Spike Protein

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Technologies, EarlyView.
A competitive‐binding paradigm for detection of viruses with the detection of the receptor binding domain of the spike protein as an illustrative example is introduced. Importantly, this approach does not rely on antibodies and therefore is of significance for detecting novel and emerging pathogens. Abstract A liquid crystal (LC)‐based sensing platform

High‐Performance and Ultrafast Single Germanium Nanowire Photodetectors

open access: yesAdvanced Optical Materials, EarlyView.
Semiconductor nanowire‐based photodetectors with high sensitivity and fast photoresponse in the near‐infrared wavelength range are crucial for applications in light‐wave communication switches, as well as environmental and atmospheric sensing. Here, the fabrication of an axial p‐n junction along single germanium nanowires and their photoresponse ...
